*Chapter 18 tell me about your family*

[Recap]

"Merry Christmas Carson.. I have so much to tell you. I want to tell you so much but then again. I'm scared to let you know... If there was one thing that I had to say. I know the exact words that would come out." I whispered running my hand through his hair.

Those words would be....

I Love You like a brother.. I know I do.. I was confused at first with everything going on around me but then it hit me.

*Resume*

You've always found some way to be there for me. To cry with me. The hardest part when you left was learning to live without you. I missed you so much. I thought I had lost you, but right when I was about to give up all hope. You came and saved me. I don't know how you did it, but you did. How do you always know when to come save me. I've known you for so long. I'm not as talented, gifted, smart or special like you. I'm just below average. I'm clumsy, stupid and not that smart. I'm just not what a guy like you would be seen with. I look more like a best friend than anything.

I slowly got out of the bed. I grabbed the I.V machine and my phone. I looked at the time and it's 8:00am. I grabbed it and walked to the door. I opened it and closed it behind me. The nurse saw me and opened her mouth to say something.

"Please.. I just want to walk around and get some stuff off my mind," I said. She looked at me and nodded.

"Just make sure you're back 12:00. You will need to eat your lunch and take your meds,"She said. I nodded.

"Am I allowed to go into the waiting room inside the unit," I asked.

"Yes. Just stay inside the unit," She said. I nodded and I walked around the floor. Everything Hurts. I walked to the waiting room. I looked down at the floor as I walked. I bumped into someone. I groaned in pain. I started falling and closed my eyes. The person grabbed me by my waist with one hand and grabbed the machine with the other. I slowly opened my eyes to find a pair of brown eyes that looked playful, mischievous yet intense. He helps me stand and balance out, As he's doing this. I notice his strong muscles, surprisingly symmetrical nose, chiseled jaw, evenly tan skin, and his brownish black hair. His hair is messy but still looks good. His lips are slightly full: the kind that end in a cute little smirk at the corners. As I'm staring at him; he notices and starts smirking. He clears his throat and I look at him.

"Now that I have your attention and you're done checking me out. How are you? Are you okay?" He asks.

"I wasn't checking you out! I was simply taken back and surprised. That's all," I said slightly flustered. He chuckled. "Also, I'm fine. Not that I was any better before almost falling. I mean I got hit by a car, and lost a lot of blood. Now here I am in a hospital hooked up to an I.V. machine, and a blood bag. I have bandages, bruises all over my body and a cast on me. So you see I'm fine. At least now I can scratch getting hit by a car, being in a cast, death near experience, and being admitted in a hospital off my bucket list."

I laughed. He looked at me surprised.

"You have a weird bucket list," He said.

"And I have a weird personality but Hey! It's who I am," I shrugged and smiled. "So what brings you to this oh-so lovely place."

"My assistant fainted while in a business meeting with a few clients. So I re-scheduled and brought her here. The doc said she'd be fine. So I was about to leave when I almost knock over a beautiful girl like you."

I blushed.

"No. You're mistaking. I'm simply average. I'm nothing special," I laughed.

"Nope, I know an amazing, talented, beautiful, fun, and sarcastic girl when I see one," He smiled. I laughed and held my hand out.
