Sky High

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed, as the swanna took off into the clear, blue sky.

I grabbed on tightly onto it feathers, closing my eyes.

"So high!" I screamed, opening one eye and looking down.

My vision doubled and swirled around as buildings and houses came into view. I closed my eyes and breathed slowly.

"How much longer Swanna?" I asked, keeping my eyes closed shut.

Swanna screeched, but I still found it difficult to understand. I huffed and waited. I focused my thought on what was actually happening. I was going on my first date. With a complete stranger. I could drop in on my parents, and maybe visit Hugo...

I carefully opened one eye, and saw Nimbasa City come into view.

"Wow Swanna, that was fast!" I yelled

"Schrrreeeeee!" She nodded.

In less than ten minutes, I was slowly getting off Swanna, and when my feet touched the farmiliar hard Nimbasa city floor, I felt ready to cry with joy. I turned to face Swanna, who was busy preening her wings.

"Thank you!" I bowed.

"Schree!" Which I had assumed meant I'll wait right here.

I looked around and noticed that we landed right in my street, only a few houses away from my own. Without even questioning how Swanna had known where I lived, I began to walk to my house, every so often pulling my dress down as I walked. I knocked at my door. Within seconds, it was flung open by my grandmas smiling face and my parents at the table.

"Granny!" I yelled in surprise, wrapping my arms around her.

My grandma laughed. My parents looked at the door, and realising it was me they sprinted over.

"Rosa! What are you doing home!? And looking like that?!" My mother exclaimed.

"Oh shush dear, she looks beautiful." My grandma slapped my mums hand.

"Well, did you get the part Hun?" My dad asked, a bright sparkle in his eyes.

I cringed. What could I have said?

"We don't know yet, but I think so." I lied.

My father beamed, with the proudest light I have ever seen from him. I made my way to the lounge room, and settled on the couch. My dad went to fetch me some tea, and my grandma had mysteriously disappeared. My mum sat down next to me, and stared at my face.

"Ur mum, your making me feel uncomfortable." I said, pushing her face away.

"Sorry Hun, I'm just admiring the makeup handy Work! Was this Fluffys?" My mum questioned. "Even so, you should probably visit Hugo."

My heart squirmed. I had completely forgotten. I saw my grandma come in with a box, and my dad with a cup of tea. He placed it gently in my hands. My grandma sat in the chair opposite me, and handed me the box.

"What's this for?" I asked, slowly opening the lid.

The box contained a beautiful golden ring, with a stone planted right in the middle, shining in rainbow colours. Right next to it lay a cream scarf with the same sort of stone clipped on the end, but instead shining in golden colours.

"The ring is for you, and the scarf for Fluffy. Your grandpa left it to you." My grandma smiled.

I slipped on the gorgeous ring, and admired its shine. I popped the scarf in my bag, carefully folded. The stone seemed to smile at me.
