Behind the Screen (Rosa x Curtis)

MEGA?!

Jake smirked, and held his and out.

"Gothitelle, use future sight!" He yelled.

The Gothitelles eyes lit up, and she was lit up with a psychic light. But nothing happened. I had saw it as my chance to attack.

"Fluffy, use thundershock!" I yelled.

Fluffy obeyed, electricity surrounded him, and in a flash, he had zapped the Gothitelle. But something was up. The Gothitelle gave no effort to move. It stood there, just taking it in. After the attack zapped away, the Gothitelle simply smiled.

"Goth!" It laughed, hands on its stomach.

"AMPHA?!" Fluffy yelled in disbelief what the?!

Jake laughed, pointing at Fluffy.

"Your measly thundershock isn't going to do anything!" He grinned, almost as if he knew something he didn't. 

I hadn't battled much before, but I was pretty sure that you had to dodge and attack. That one moved he called. What did it do again? 

"Fluffy, zap cannon!" I yelled.

Maybe if I could paralyze it...

The beam of sparks hit in a critical light. I smirked, as the electric pulse of a paralyzed surrounded the Gothitelle. The Gothitelle flinched, but couldn't move. It was easy to tell it had taken a lot of damage. But Jake only smiled. It annoyed the hell out of me. 

"Gothitelle, future sight!" He yelled again.

I braced myself for nothing again. But it struck me like Fluffys thundershock. I had remembered what future sight did.

"Fluffy, watch ou..!" But I was too late. 

An attack of physic power hit Fluffy with incredible power, bringing him to the floor.

"FLUFFY GET UP! PLEASE!" I yelled desperately. 

Jake smirked, pointing to Argon. But Argon looked unsure of what to call. As he opened his mouth to speak, he was interrupted by the crowd. 

"GO FLUFFY AND ROSA!"

"YEAH FLUFFY!"

"YOU CAN DO IT, GET UP!"

"IT'S YOUR TURN IN THE SPOTLIGHT!"

That last one really got Fluffy. Reluctantly, Fluffy got up. Dirt and bruises peppered his body, but he wasn't done yet.  Fluffy turned to me, and put a thumbs up. I smiled. 

"LET'S DO THIS FLUFFY!" I yelled, pumping my fist in the air. 

My ring began to shine, the stone illuminated. Fluffys stone that was pinned to his scarf, shone, tendrils of light coming out of them. Nobody said anything. I stared in disbelief as my ring did the same, until the tendrils of light connected with each other. Fluffy was engulfed in a ball of crackling light, my stone shining even brighter than before.

The ball of light smashed, revealing Fluffy. But he didn't look the same. 

Long white hair poured out from the top of his head, the red orb that would usually be there has enlarged, and his horns had grew larger and twisted. His yellow fur on his chest had seeped with patterns into his white fur, and his toe was a dark brown, almost black. His tail had changed into a long repetition of the hair on his head, long and true, with red orbs strung everywhere in it.  And odd shaped appeared in front of him. It was rainbow, and in a weird DNA cell looking shape. That symbol...as it disappeared, it clicked in my brain. 

"FLUFFY SINCE WHEN COULD YOU MEGA EVOLVE?!" I yelled

Fluffy opened his eyes and looked down.

"AMPHA?!" He yelled what the?!

He glanced back at his tail and his jaw dropped. 

"AMPHAROS, AMPHA ROS!" He yelled I'VE TURNED INTO A WHITE EEVEE!

His eye caught onto the wisp of hair coming from his head. He grabbed it an pulled. Wincing, he let go, and inspected his toe. He got, up and turned to me. 

"AMPHAROS ROS AMPHAROS?!" He yelled why do I look like I belong on a shampoo commercial?!

I was so shocked I forgot about the battle completely.

"Now you really can pass as a girl!" Jake laughed, holding his stomach in fake laughter. 

Fluffy turned around, a dark look in his eyes. I grinned. He was so mad at the time, nothing could seem to be more important than this battle. 

"You ready Fluffy?" I asked.

Fluffy nodded.

"Fluffy, use thunder!" I yelled.

Fluffy focused all of his energy clouds rumbling, and with a stroke of his hands a large bolt of lightning struck the Gothitelle. Through the golden light, I could see the fear in Jake's face. 

"Gothitelle use psybeam!" Jake yelled.

"Fluffy dodge!" I yelled.

With lightning speed, Fluffy sped out of the sight of the attack. 

"FLUFFY USE DRAGON PULSE!" I yelled with all of my might.

Fluffy closed his eyes, and a large ball of power appeared on his chest. He swung his arms toward the Gothitelle, and a large pulse of dragon energy hit it square in the chest, sending up a large cloud of dust. Once the dust had cleared, the Gothitelle lay on the floor, swirls replacing its eyes. Argon excitedly ran onto the field. 

"Gothitelle is unable to battle, Rosa and Fluffy, that's his name right? Anyway, they are the winners!" Argon announced, holding up the exhausted Fluffys hand.

Fluffy whipped his hair, and transformed back. Everyone cheered. I smiled, I felt so proud. And so lucky. Jake silently walked up to me, and pointed his finger at my face.

"How did you do it?" He accused.

I sweat dropped. What did he mean?

"How did you beat me?!" He yelled, raising his voice. "Nobody has ever beaten me, how could a girl like you do it?!" He screamed. But suddenly, his face softened and his eyes shun.

"It's very admirable."

I was taken aback. What now? He was just screaming at me. The words in my head scrambled as I thought of something witty to say back. In lightning speed, Fluffy was in front of me, holding his hand to the surprised Jake's face.  

"Ampharos!" Fluffy exclaimed, everyone going silent, this girl is taken!

Jake blinked and I face palmed. 

"AMPHAROS AMPHA ROS ROS AMPHA!" He yelled, this girl belongs to Curtis and Curtis only.

Jake snickered, batting Fluffys hand out of his face. He said nothing as he walked away.

"I wasn't hitting on her." He called back as he walked out."I was seeing for a flinch, something to tell me she had cheated."

A dark looked crossed Fluffy's face. But he said nothing as Jake's slim figure disappeared. I nervously turned to face the crowd. A few moments of silent passed, before everyone began to cheer. I blushed as our names were cheered. Jackie run onto the stage and thrust my hand into the air.

That was one of the best days of my life.

My grandpa had given me the best present.

A gift of the bond between Fluffy and I.

I almost felt as though he was right next to me.

As if he never left.

I think Fluffy felt the same.
