The Ferris Wheel

I froze. He was right. I wanted to be in front of the camera, and dancing on the stage, but I was scared. Why couldn't I be scared of spiders or the dark like normal people?! Curtis pondered for a bit, saying nothing.

"Well, why are you scared?" He asked.

That was a great question. Why was I scared? Was it really from that childhood experience, or was there something deeper in my mind? I never really thought of it, because whenever I did, I felt sick in my stomach.

"I guess...to be honest I don't really know." I admitted.

"There's no reason?" Curtis asked.

I didn't nod nor shake my head. I didn't really know how to answer him. Curtis enchanting green eyes stared out into the beautiful view, we were right at the top. I could see everything, it was breathtaking. No matter how many times I saw it, it's like it becomes more amazing every time.

"Unova really is beautiful." Curtis finally spoke. "But it's not the only beautiful thing here."

Was he taking about me?! I blushed, and hid my face in my hands. He closed his eyes as I peered through my open fingers.

"I wish the world could just go slower, this Ferris Wheel...time..." He wished, in a tired voice.

I stared at his face. He opened his eyes and peered at me. With one look at my blushing face, he chuckled.

"I don't think time should go slow," I said, staring at the view as we slowly went back to the ground "if time would go slower, we would have too much time, everything would seem pointless, moments like these would become boring and unimportant. Life would loose it's meaning. I'm glad that time goes the way it does."

He stared at me with wide eyes, and covered his nose and cheeks with his hand, in a cute flustered way.

"You're really something Rosa." He smiled.

The Ferris Wheel hit the ground, making a soft bump noise. Curtis and I silently make our way off. Nearby, and a man operated a fairy floss machine, making soft peaks of sugary goodness. '

"Would you like one?" I asked Curtis.

Curtis grinned and nodded.

"You're asking me if I want sugar that has literally been spun around to make the most delicious substance on this planet? Um yes." He smiled.

I walked up to the man who smiled and asked me what I would like.

"Two fairy floss please!" I asked, fishing the money out of my purse.

The man handed me a pink one, and a blue one.

"Make sure you give your boyfriend the blue one," he said with a wink.

I stuttered.

"Um he's not my boyfriend, I barely know him, ahhhahah..." I stutter, quickly walking away.

I hand the blue one to Curtis without making eye contact. As soon as he goes to take a bite, the familiar sound of an xtransceiver rung. He took his returned xtransceiver out of his pocket, and answered the call.

"Hello?" He asked, turning away from me. "Right now? Can't I come in a few...but it's really impor...okay, I'll be there in a few moments. What? She's waiting for me? Oh god." He stammered, hanging up.

She's waiting for me? Did he have a girlfriend? My heart sunk.

"I really have to go, thank you so much for the amazing day," he grinned "Would it be okay if I called you?"
