Chapter 10

Lukan's POV

A few weeks have passed and it's now Feb 14. A few things have happened that are worth mentioning, but not much.

First Zeke and I finished our project for Mr Burnette's class and got 100% on it as well as extra credit for taking it over the top. After that I had gotten to get back online for the first time in awhile in late January, meaning I could contact Faerie much easier. Here's the upsetting part though, she dumped me, on Facebook, on a public post where everyone could see. This made me upset and even cry for a few days, which got me in a lot of trouble with Kreig because of his, "men don't cry," philosophy, which is complete bullshit.

One more good thing that happened in January is I got back in touch with a friend from middle school back in Oklahoma, his name was Blade, and he's a 4'7" green dragon with purple hair, almost the exact opposite of Spike from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". He wears glasses and is extremely nerdy, almost as much as me. How we got back in touch was he found my facebook page and contacted me. We talked and eventually, somehow, he convinced his parents to get him a plane ticket to visit me in Walla Walla. I couldn't believe that he actually got his parents to do this for him. So currently he and I are sitting at a small shaved ice shop called "Pineapple Pete's," catching up more about what's happened since he got on the plane and ended up here. The thing is though, he's kinda hot, but he doesn't know I'm bi, so I can't tell him... Or so I thought.

As we were just going back and forth asking questions about each other to see how much we've changed, Blade scoots rather close in the booth, so close that his paw is pretty much on top of mine. I blushed lightly when he did this, but then it got even odder. He started blushing too, and said, "Can we go to the park, Lukey?" He hadn't called me Lukey since 5th grade, so I was kind of wondering what was up, and I nodded.

"Sure, Blade, that'd be nice," I say this, still blushing, mainly to make him happy, and also because I wanted to see where this was going.

A little while later, Blade and I had gone to my secret little area on a small island in the pond at the park. We were sitting on a rock when he grabbed my paw and blushed again. He leant a small bit close to me and said, "Lukey? C-can I ask you something?"

I blush and think 'Oh no, what's he gonna do?' and then nod a small bit, "Y-yeah. What is it Blade?"

He then smiles a small bit at me and says in a soft voice, "What are your thoughts on people who are bisexual? You know, like, they like people of both genders."

My heart started racing when he asked this and I wanted to jump for joy and scream out my feelings for him right then and there, but I couldn't be sure these feelings he was obviously having for a guy were for me. I calmed down quickly and blushed a small bit more as I smile, "Well, I think that they're really brave. They have the guts to stand up to society and not be tied down to being either straight, and called a bossy pervert, or gay, and called a girly, bitchy, whiney pervert. I think that they've got to have some great self-esteem to deal with all the things this world throws at them for 'not being able to make up their minds.'"

I could tell that this took him a bit by surprise because of this look of both shock at my slight outburst as well as a larger smile at my acceptance, and seeming adorance of bisexual people. He looked my in the eyes with his gorgeous, sparkling emerald eyes, and said to me, "Well, what would you say if maybe, um... I said I was bi?... For someone we both know?"

I smile a little more and blush a small bit more still as he says that, because there are only 5 people that both of us know well enough for him to have a crush on, and only 3 of which are guys, him, myself and our friend Dakota. "I'd say that's cool, and that you're really brave. M-might I ask who it is?"

He then blushes even more and says. "One question for you first, what's your orientation? I know you recently separated from Farie, but still."

I blush more and say, "I-I'm bi as well actually. I've just never told anyone.."

He smiles a little too much but then tries to hide how happy that made him as he says, "Can I just show you who it is?"

I blush and smile a bit as well as I realise it's gotta be me from the reaction he just had to me being bi, but I said, "Y-yeah, sure."

He then blushed, even more, making his green cheeks turn more magenta, and causing me to blush more as well. Then he leant in close to me, sliding his paw to grasp mine gently, and kissed me gently on the lips. When he did this I opened my eyes wide in surprise but also blushed even darker, my grey fur becoming dark, and after a few moments I closed my eyes and kissed him back, gripping his paw. After a few moments, the kiss grew even deeper and I put my arms around his neck as his paws ended up on my hips. After what seemed like hours, the best hours of my entire life so far, we broke the kiss and panted heavily with our foreheads pressed together, not saying a word as we both think through exactly what just happened. My mind and heart are both racing like never before as I think, 'Oh my gods! I'm the one! He likes me! What do I do? I kind of like him too, but if this even real?'

After a few moments of sitting like this I giggle a small bit and rest my head on his chest and he holds me close to him.

He says to me in a soft voice, "Would you make me the happiest dragon ever, and be my boyfriend, Lukey?"

I hug him tighter and nod a small bit violently as I smile brightly, "YES!"

He giggles and smiles brightly, "Yay!!!! I can't believe this... My first kiss, my first boyfriend, both from the guy I've been crushing on since 6th grade."

I look at him and feel like an idiot, "This was my first for both of those too. And You've been crushing since 6th grade too?..."

He looks at me. "Too? Oh my god, now I feel like we're both idiots because neither of us said anything because we both thought the other was straight!"

I giggle and nod a small bit, "Yeah, look at us, 2 big idiots sitting on a rock together."

He smiles and nods as he pulls my head onto his chest and makes us lay on the ground, looking up at the clouds as it's starting to get dark.

I ask, "Hey, I know your parents didn't just send you with nothing, do you have money to get food?"

He nods and smiles, "I was actually planning a surprise for you if this went how I hoped it would, and it did." He kisses my forehead, "We'll head there in a little bit, I wanna stay like this a little longer."

"Okay Blade," I say, as I lay with him on the ground, replaying the scene in my head over and over and smiling brightly at how fast and amazing this evening was going so far. Absolutely, without a single doubt, this is the best Valentine's day ever.
