Chapter 6

A few days later

**Lukan's POV**

We had settled in all the way now and had gone to buy school supplies yesterday, and now the day had come for Wieren and my first day of our new schools. I got up at 0600 as always and dressed before I woke up Wieren, as usual she woke up in an unpleasant mood and immediately shoved me out and started changing with her music blasting loudly. I just smiled and went back into my bedroom and sat down on my bed next to my knapsack and posted a short blog that read:

First day of school!!!! So excited!!!! I wonder what this new school will think of a boy that wears what I'm wearing today: High heel boots, black nylons, booty shorts and a pink top along with a hogwarts beanie. Whatever, not like I actually care, but you can't help but be curious either way!

I post the blog after proofreading it a few times, never hurts to be grammatically correct, and then notice the time and stand up with my knapsack and begin walking to the front room. Wieren was already in there taking up the entire couch so I just sat in the recliner that was my mother's and listened to my own music on my earbuds and phone (both were purple and cyan, of course).

After about half an hour or so my mother walked in and hurried us out the door, "Get Get Get! We gotta go!" Then we hurried out and got into her jeep and she drove us to school.

We arrived at my new school a few moments after dropping off Wieren at her school with the usual, "eh, later," from her as a goodbye. I got out of the jeep and closed the door after putting on my knapsack. I began to walk slowly towards the front doors of the new school when my mother stopped me and pulled my into a large hug, once again careful to not suffocate me. I hesitated for a moment in surprise and then hugged her back.

"What's this for?" I ask her.

"Silly. It's because I love you. And because I have a gift for you and you were walking too fast," she smiled brightly and backed away but kept her paws on my shoulders and her arms now outstretched. She removed her paws from my shoulders and reached into her jacket and retrieved a small gift bag and set it in my now outstretched paws. She continued speaking as I look at it and her curiously, "Don't open this until I leave, okay? It's from Nana, Papa and me. I think it should help you with something you're planning."

I look a bit excited when she mentions the planned thing because I've only told her about one plan that's gonna happen any time soon, and that's the brotherly bonding time with Sky. I got really excited and I hugged my mother tightly as my tail just went completely haywire from the happiness, "Thank you so much mother! I couldn't thank you enough," I said and then she shook her head.

"It wasn't just me, it was Nana and Papa too."

"Yeah, but you obviously told them and asked about it," I said, looking at my mother suspiciously.

"Yeah... I guess you got me there," then she hugged me again, "Oh but one last thing before I leave. I got another letter from Sky after you got to bed last night. I know when he's gonna be home. Try to guess," she said excitedly.

I got really excited too, "I have 3 guesses. Papa's birthday (Jan 28), Groundhog day (if you don't know google it), and our birthday maybe (Feb 19)?"

She looked excited when I finished guessing, "YES!!!! He's gonna be home the day before your birthday! You can spend your birthday together like twins should!" At this point she was hugging me so tightly that I could hardly breathe once again and then she kissed my cheek, leaving me blushing, "I'll see you when you get home, don't forget to catch your bus after school." I nod and then she gets in her jeep and leaves the parking lot.

I smile brightly from the anticipation of my brother coming home after nearly 4 years and start walking inside and towards the front office.  

Sorry about the late upload of this chapter everyone! I've been going through a lot of drama lately and I just needed to take a little bit of time off to myself. I will try to get into a bit more of a schedule for uploads for this story. I may even start writing parts ahead of time when I get a chance for a long writing session. I also want to thank you all for giving this story as many reads as it's gotten! I can't even believe how good this story's doing, it's insane. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, seeing that people like something that I'm doing for once in my life means a lot to me.
