People say time flies away, well people lie.
It had been three whole days since Brianna hadn't come to school. Three whole days since she hadn't picked up my phone. Three whole days since she hadn't answered any of my numerous messages. Three whole days! I had been worried dead, throughout these three days, thinking where is my bestfriend, Where is the person who I need the most in my life?
I wish I knew the answer.
This was so not the normal Brianna Roberts, I knew. Because the one I knew, would call me ten times a day, would text me about every single thing in her life, no matter how silly it maybe. I was really concerned about Brianna's condition. I really wanted to know what was up with her. Was she sick? Or did Rob do something to her? But most of all was she alive?
I had decided before, not to do much about it, thinking it must be fine, but I couldn't handle it anymore. I really needed my BFF. Before I could continue cracking my head thinking about what was going on with Brie, I felt a firm hand turn me around. The next thing I know, is that I am being pulled in closer by Nate who is now bending to give me a soft kiss on the lips.
To be honest, I was taken aback. I wasn't really in the mood to be making out, but kissed him back anyways, it wouldn' t be right to him, if I didn't.
"So how's my girl doing?", he said, as he released his lips off mine.
"Honestly, she could be doing much better."
"And why is that?" He asked as his voice turned a bit softer. I loved it how much he cared about me.
"It's Brie.....She has been total M.I.A since the past three days."
"M.I.A? Yeah, I haven't seen her around for a long time. What's up?"
"I have no clue, cause she hasn't been replying to any of my calls." I said as we continued walking in the line of the cafetaria. It was just another busy day outta here, as all students were too hungry by this time.
"Hey, maybe her parents have come to visit her or something." Hm...That's seem plausible. But if her parents are over than why isn't she answering my calls. And why isn't she in school? As far as I remember, Mrs.Roberts used to hate it, if Brie or even I missed out a single day of school, let alone three.
"Maybe..."I replied sorely, as I walked ahead in the line, picking up my tray, and tossing some salad, and grabbing a drink.
"You really are freaking out aren't you..Tell you what I'll take you over to Brie's after school today. Will that cheer you up?"
"OMG! You would do that.." I said as we sat down on our table, which was usually filled with three people, so I immediately felt a bit sad.
"Yeah....anything for you." He said, reminding me of being lucky to have an amazing boyfriend like him. He really had a great heart underneath that jock status.
"Besides my mother always says it's nice to help the needy." Nate said, and then gave one of his mischievious smirks. Although, I knew he only said it to lighten up the mood a bit, but hey! I am not needy!
"Oh, you didn't just say that." I said as I got up from my seat and started to chased Nate around the cafetaria, who sensing the danger had already started to sprint off. I continued to run behind him trying to reduce the gap between us, but man, he was quick.
"Hey Richards, I suggest you to give up, because let's face it. You'll never be able to catch me." He shouted as he ran off faster, and disappeared soon. He was right I'd never be able to catch him, after all he's an All State player. I really need to stop underestimating him, and over-estimating myself. I mean how did I even think that I'd be able to chase down a quaterback?
