*Edited* Chapter 5 - Making a Splash at Dinner

Mia's P.O.V

It was morning and Zo and I decided that we would join the boys on their movie set. 

"This is so cool!" Zoe exclaims.

"It's as cool as the ocean waters," I add.

"Girls, have you forgotten why you're here?" Hermey asks.

"Of course not Herms," I say.

"Why do you ask anyway?" Zoe questions.

"Because there are two very available looking guys over there," Hermey states with a playful grin (And Yes! Crabs can have playful grins. #DONTJUDGECRABS). 

I roll my eyes and Zoe sighs.

"The boys already have girlfriends so their not very available as you think," Zoe shrinks to the sand. 

The boys were on set filming of course. The movie was called Down Fall. It's all about two boys who become spies and have to save the world from a Russian organization that plan on taking over the world. 

"You never seemed to care about that when you dated that boy who was dating the princess of the Lake Mermaids." Hermey says.

"Hey! I never dated him! We just hung out!" Zoe protests. 

I realize they're coming our way and hit Zoe on the head. 

"OW! What was that for?" Zoe shouts. 

I point at the boys and she says a silent oh. 

"Hey girls!" Luke smiles.

"Hey's!" I say.

"We were wondering if you girls would like to come to a dinner party we're throwing," Andrew states.

"Sure, why not?" Zoe shrugs.

"Great. See y'all's!" Luke says. 

I give him the What-the-heck-did-you-just-say look and he laughs.

"Let's go shopping!" Zoe smiles and drags me away Hermey following behind.

"What should I get for dinner? Dress, skirt or casual pants with a tee?" I ask Zoe.

"Hmm. Go with a sundress dress. That would look fabulous on you!" Zoe says and winks.

"Kay, what about me? I want to do a casual hi-low skirt with a cropped top but that might look too casual. What do you think?" Zoe questions.

"Do the hi-low skirt but instead of with a cropped top wear an off the shoulder tee and tuck it into the skirt," I say looking through a rack of sundresses.

"Cool-ays-oos!!" Zoe shouts and heads down to the skirts department area.

Once at home, we hurriedly got ready. The boys were going to take us to the wonderful restaurant so we had to be fast. I walk out my room ready and all. I look at myself in the hallway mirror when I hear a, "OMG! Mia! You look so beautiful!" 

I turn to Zoe. She was stunning. She was wearing a blue hi-low skirt and a lilac off the shoulder top. 

"You look amazing too!" I smile. 

I was wearing a neon green strapless sundress. We both had matching pink sandals. 

"Kay! Lets go before we're late," I exclaim. 

We dash down the stairs and out the door. The boys were standing to a limo. I gaped. I always wanted to ride in one of those.......above the water. 

"We're going to dinner in that?!" Zoe gasps.

"Yeah. Come on, we're going to be late," Andrew says. 

Hermey was just about to hop in the limo when I stopped him. 

"You are not allowed to come. Just stay here and hang with all the other crabs. Kay? Bye," I say. 

He groans and walks away.

Zoe's P.O.V

The restaurant was very pretty. It was fancier than the one at the castle. There were chandeliers and candles on the tables. This was totally magnificent! There were so many friendly people at the dinner. The only people I wasn't very fond of were the boys girlfriends. There was definitely something fishy about those girls. HAHAHAH! Fishy! HUUH! I bet they're fish. I'm probably right. Just so you know readers, I'm always right. 

"Hey! My name's Lancey! I'm Andrew's girlfriend!" Lacey smiled and extends her hand out for me to shake it. 

I place my hand on hers to shake it. Once I do that her eyes go cat like and turn purple and blue. She's a siren! Hah! I was right. Wait, this isn't the time to gloat. She smiles and goes back to talking to the others. She must know I'm a mermaid. I look over at Mia. She gives me a worried look and I know she knows. Just so you know sirens are crazy, evil versions of mermaids who lure men with their voices. I thought they were all banished but I guess not. I look over at Luke's girlfriend and she gives me the same cat eye thing. This is bad! I bet they enchanted the boys. If you didn't realize, which you probably didn't, Andrew and Luke had become super clingy to their girlfriends once they saw them. 

"HMMMM!" Lancey coughs. 

Everyone looks at her and Fancey, Luke's boyfriend.

"Okay! We would like to make a toast to our lovely boyfriends." Lancey smiles and forcefully everyone smiles with her.

"Let's make a splash at this dinner!" Fancey shouts and everyone clanks drinks. 

When I clank Lancey's drink she 'accidentally' pours her water all over me. 

"Oops." Lancey fakes a sincere look. 

I glare at her. I start feeling a tingly feeling in my legs. Oh snap! I have to get out of here. 

"Sorry everyone but I have to go to the...... bathroom! Mia come!" I say and then run into the bathroom. 

Mia follows and locks the door. Great. I think looking at my lilac tail. 

"We have to get rid of those girls," Mia states.

"I know Mia. I know," I say to her.
