Zoe's P.O.V

Mia and I had been swimming for hours when we finally saw the castle ahead. The trip was silent. Mia was so scared. She showed her tail to at least 20 humans and among those humans were the boys. I know how she feels though. I've done that too many times to count. We barge through the castle doors and into the throne room where we guessed the kings would be and there they were.

"Zoe! How's the little mission going?" My dad Titus ask.

"Horrible! Dad sirens, they're alive," I say. His expression changes from excited to serious.

"How do you know?" Tritanis asks.

"They're with these boys we met," Mia says.

They nod.

"It means your time is running out," Dad says swimming to his throne.

"What!?" Mia and I shout.

"Yes, the sirens have broken free from their prison in the depths of the deepest chasm but stayed there and made a home from it. Only the evil ones left. It means they are your killers," Tritanis states.

"You girls need to fall in love now or you are done for. I don't want to lose another person I love," Dad mumbles.

I swim up to dad and hug him tight.

"You won't be losing me dad, I promise," I say.

"How will we know when the curse is broken?" Mia asks.

"They will love you back and then when you enter water no more tail," Tritanis says with a sad face.

"Will we be able to come and see you guys?" I ask.

"Probably not. Sure, you'll still be able to breathe underwater but to get here is very hard with legs. You'll probably forget about our underwater kingdom after awhile and think it was all a dream," Dad sighs.

"Now go. We will watch the sirens movements and if we find anything suspicious we'll send a Mer-Faerie to come and report to you," Tritanis says.

"Got it! Love you dad! See you soon!" Mia says hugging Tritanis.

"Bye dad! Missed you lots!" I say.

Mia and I start swimming off to the shore.

We were walking back to our spot on the beach when Lancey and Fancey walk up to us.

"Nice little show Mia," Fancey smiles.

"Next time it'll be bigger and get all the attention we need," Lancey says.

"Bye now!" They say and run back to the boys.

"Oh, how I hate sirens," I mutter.
