From nowhere, the mortal emerged with a torch in her hand which she flung at the griffin,it struck its left eye throwing it off balance thereby freeing Perseus from its grip.

On sighting the mortal, the Griffin charged at her aiming for her head.Perseus immediately rushed to her rescue as he shielded the mortal from the swiveling tail of the Griffin with the aid of the aegis, the shield of Zeus.

Angry at its failed attempt to kill the mortal, the Griffen flapped its wings as it ascended, with a great shriek it surged forward towards Perseus and the mortal.

Perseus anticipated the move. With his shield protecting the mortal, he twirled, dodging the incoming griffin in the process. Now behind the griffin,he was in a good striking position.

With the shield he struck the Griffin on its side,it went down in a crash sending debris of bones flying, bones of its fallen prey.

Thick dust filled the air ,imparting Perseus vision as his eyes tried to adjust to the dusty environment.

While searching for the mortal, his gaze fell upon the silhouette of the Griffin's tail surging towards his direction but it missed,he never knew he wasn't its target.

The scream of the mortal caught his attention, she was in danger. His eyes tore through the dusty fog searching for the mortal who he eventually found floating, with the Griffin's tail strapped to her neck, it was choking her.

Quickly he aimed the aiges at its tail, the aiges swirled and struck its tail with great ferocity slicing through it as the mortal's limp body descended the air.

Perseus caught her in his arms and watched her in fear as she desperately gasp for air.If he was a minute late she probably would have died.

Perseus stared at the limp body of the mortal, her exposed cleavages made Perseus shudder as her body rested on his arms.

Electric pulse surged through his body as he felt the urge to kiss her. With his attention focused on the mortal, he didn't notice the approaching Griffin.

The Griffin dug its sharp claws ferociously into Perseus shoulder,he groaned in pain dropping the unconscious mortal as driblet of blood streamed from his shoulder.

Before Perseus could react, the beak of the griffin struck his collar bone hard, tearing flesh in the process. Perseus fell face-down to the ground as waves of pains reverberated through his body.

The griffin, aware of its weakened prey surged forward with its sharp pointed beak as it aimed for the kill.

Perseus repelled its surging beak with a hard kick to the side of its head,it stàggered sideways giving Perseus enough time to plan his next move.

Perseus eye searched the decrepit den for a weapon, fortunately for him,his eyes caught the chains used to bound the mortal.

Writhing in pain,he managed to stagger to the rock where the chain was affixed to,he pulled the chain from the rock and rolled it on his fist, ready to attack,a move his life and that of the mortal depended on.

Perseus, bleeding profusely steadied his back on a rock, crouching,he anxiously waited for the griffins predicted move.

After regaining its consciousness, the Griffin fluttered towards Perseus again, this time with great vigor and killer intent.

The griffin aimed its claws at Perseus like an eagle closing in on a prey.Perseus who had correctly anticipated the move swerved in the air dodging the Griffin's surging claws in the process.

While airborne,Perseus strapped the chain round the Griffin's neck and tweaked it with a great thrush as the bloodcurdling shriek of the Griffin echoed through the walls of the den awakening the unconscious mortal.

Now,one of Athens most vicious monster was at the mercy of Perseus.Perseus climbed the back of the Griffin using the chain strapped around its neck as a Rein.
With the rein,he compelled the Griffin to fly him out of the den. Before ascending,Perseus grabbed the mortal and placed her on the Griffin's back as they flew up the murky den.

Perseus laid limp on the Griffin's back, his injury riddled body was in pains. The mortal, concerned of Perseus health cried to Apollo, the god of healing.

Apollo heard her cry and healed Perseus, he also briefed Perseus of Hercules plan to destroy mount Olympus and the earth with the powerful thunderbolt as he planned on creating a new world where he would be king.

Ares attention was now focused on Hercules, he ordered his mercenaries to hunt down Hercules and retrieve the thunderbolt but no one took up the task as everyone of them was scared of the deadly thunderbolt.

Kratos was summoned as the war of gods was on the verge of taking a nasty twist.
