Senior Year Checklist

Chapter 18

Rose POV

The first day of school honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be hopefully it will be like that for the rest of the year.

I get up and get dressed then I go downstairs to the kitchen where my brother is eating cereal.

"Mornin" I great him as I pour me a cup of coffee

"Morning" he tries saying back with a mouthful of cereal

"Hey I call Natalie last night and-" Holden starts telling me

"Wait you called Natalie last night?" I ask confused cutting him off

"Yeah well I talk to the boss and he said she could have the job so I called her and told her" he shrugs

I wonder why he didn't just tell me to tell her?

"I bet she was happy" I say as I take a sip of my drink

"Yeah she was" he laughs a little "she starts next week" he tells me

"Remember to help her she's never worked before" I say

"I'll be the one to train her plus I know she will get the hang of it fast" he says as he puts his bowl in the sink

I look at my phone to see that Natalie texted me and said that she was out front

"Okay Natalie's here" I tell grabbing my backpack

"See you guys at school" he says

I get in the passenger seat.

"Good morning" she smiles at me all happy

"Morning" I can't help but laugh "so Holden told me that you got the job"

"Yeah isn't that great" she jumps up and down in her chair "and that's something off my list" she smirks at me

"My turn I guess but I'm not sure what though" I say trying to think

"Well Josh is going to find out about that party" Natalie says

"Yeah true" I nod

"Rose it's just the second day of school you don't have to have the list finished in a week" she tells me

"I know, I know"

We pull up in the school parking lot.

I walk over to where Ben is.

He sees me and smiles at me "hey"

"Hey have you seen josh?" I ask him

I notice his smile slowly drops for some reason "uh no" he tells me "why?" He asks me a little confused

"O I was going to ask him about that party" I tell him

"So you were serious?" He raises an eyebrow still not totally believing me

"Yes why is that so hard to believe" I can't help but laugh

"It's just you aways said they were stupid" he shrugs

"Well that was then this is now" I say

"Well if I see him I'll tell him your looking for him" he says

"Thanks" I smile

We walk into the school together. After our class I head over to my locker to get something out.

"So I hear you were looking for me" Josh says smirking as he leans against the locker next to mine

"Yes I was-" I start saying

"Can't get enough huh?" He says still smirking

"Yeah I'm obsessed" I roll my eyes "anyway did you find out when the party was?"

"Yeah I didn't think you were serious" he tells me

"I am people" I say trying to not get annoyed

"Okay okay it's Friday" he puts his hand up in defense

"Thank you" I sigh and then smile

"If you want I can pick you up?" He asks me giving me those flirty eyes

"Natalie will drive" I tell him because I don't think of him that way at all

"Your loss but I at least get one dance" he says

"One dance and it will be a fast song" I tell him

"I'll take it" he says and puts his arm around my shoulder as we walk to our next class
