Natalie POV
I walk into the diner and go behind the counter and put my apron on.
"Hey?" I hear Holden behind me
"Yeah?" I give him a small smile
"Natalie I'm really sorry" he says and I can tell he means it but it does kind of annoy me that heather and Britney are in his inner circle
"I know" is all I say
"If you want to go home I'll cover for you" he tells me
"No that's okay thanks though" working will take my mind off of everything
I go and take care of a couple tables.
"So any plans tonight?" Holden asks me as we clean a some tables
"Yeah I'm going to your house" I laugh
"Good" he laughs with me
"Yeah I thought we weren't seeing enough of each other" I joke
"I could never get sick of you nat" he smiles
"Ditto" I smirk
After work I go to the grocery store and get all the ingredients I need to bake some desserts.
"Hey" I say as I walk into rose house
"Hey" rose smiles and helps me with the grocery bags "you got a lot of stuff" she laughs
"You sit there and keep me company while I bake us some goodies" I say excited
I start going through my recipes and start baking different recipes but so far nothing turning out good.
"You need help?" Rose asks
"No I got this" I say determined and I know I look like a mess I have flour on my clothes and hair and also dough and who knows what else all over me.
"Is something burning?" Rose asks a little scared
"O my muffins" I gasp forgetting about them
"Is mom cooking" Holden comes into the kitchen
"No uh Natalie is baking" Rose says with a tight smile
"O yum" Holden says walking over to me and looking at the burnt muffins
"I'm following the recipes " I sigh frustrated
"Here let me help" Holden says looking at the recipes
"Yeah Holden will help you" rose says as she eats some cookie dough and honestly I do needs some help with baking
I honestly didn't know Holden could cook but he manage to help me bake something that didn't burn and actually taste good.
"We make a good team" I smile at him
"Yeah we do" he says and puts his hand up for me to high five and I do
"These are good" Rose says as she eats some of the cookies we just made
"You look like a chipmunk" Holden laughs at Rose who honestly kind of does with all those cookies in her mouth
Rose POV
After Natalie finishes baking we go up to my room.
"I need to think of something else to do off my list?" I say thinking
"Well so far I've done, get a job, bake, go to a football game, and get a after school activity" she sighs at the last part
I give her a small smile "so far I've gotten checked off fake ID, drive in, went to a party, and new style"
"We have gotten a couple things checked off" Natalie says
"Hey I know what we can do?" I smirk and stand up
"O no" Natalie whispers probably scared what I'm going to say
"Let's go to the store" I tell her
"That's it?" She asks a little confused
"Because we are going to dye my hair" I smile
