Natalie POV
I can hear my mother foot steps as she gets closer to my room and getting ready to wake me up even though I could barley sleep at all last night I'm too nervous and excited for school but mostly nervous.
"Natalie time to wake up" she says opening the door
"Okay I'm up" I tell her and she closes the door behind her
I look over at my alarm clock to see I still have a couple of hours until school plenty of time to get ready and pick up rose maybe even pick up some coffee for us.
I go take a shower and after I put on a little makeup and blow dry my hair there's no need to straighten it because it's already naturally straight, I then head to my closet and grab a sweater and a skirt I bought at the mall with rose. The skirt is a little too short and I already know my mom going to make a comment about it before I leave the house.
As I look at myself in the mirror, I look fine same old some old just average. I'm kinda glad rose came up with this checklist but at the same time I hope I don't chicken out I don't like to get out of my comfort zone but at least rose will be there to push me which sometimes I'm actually grateful for.
I grab my backpack and head downstairs, I see my mother at the breakfast table eating a bowl of oatmeal while reading the morning paper.
"Your still here?" I say a little surprised because usually she's already left for work by now
"I told them I would be coming a little late today since its your first day" she smiles, she actually one of the best lawyers in this town and my dads a doctor and my brother is a cop so there's a lot of pressure for me.
"Thanks" I say appreciating it
"I made oatmeal" she tells me
"I'm actually running a little behind" I say hoping she doesn't start a speech about being late for the first day
"We'll have a piece of fruit" she point to the fruit bowl
I walk over and grab me a banana.
"Is that what your wearing?" She asks me looking at my skirt
"What's wrong with it?" I ask confused
"The skirt is a tad bit too short" she says pursing her lips
"That's why I put stocking on" I say hoping that will make her satisfied
"Okay well you better go. Have a good day" she smiles
"Okay bye" I say and leave
I stop by and get some coffee, me and rose a Carmel frappachino and Holden a mocha frappe I hope he still like that and then rose mom a hot tea her favorite.
