Hit The Lights

Rian, and I make our way over to the recording studio after our fun, and extremely eventful day. We had gone to get ice cream at a little ice cream shop in our little suburban town, and went into the city to go to the mall, and grab some lunch, and a couple random things at random shops. After we did some shopping it got pretty late so we had went to get dinner, and he even paid for my dinner, like a gentleman.

Rian is like my over protective brother.

"I really hope Alex, and Lisa didn't get back together after we left school or something," I say to Rian as he turns his music down a little bit.

"Do you like Alex?"

"Ew! No! Why would you even think that? He and I are just friends."

"I only ask because you seem to hate Lisa more than us, and you talk about how you hate when they're dating quite often," Rian says laughing as Blink 182 comes on the radio.

"She treats me like crap, and she's always telling me to back off her man, and you know I am always up on Alex," I tell him angrily, not at him, but out of frustration.

I love Alex, but I don't love him any more than a friend. If I ever would, his standards are much higher than what I am. I know that mainly because he is dating Lisa. Not only that, but he would never be interested in me mainly because we are friends, and nothing more.

We finally reach the recording studio just outside of the city. We pull up, and everybody seems to already be there due to the fact that both Alex's and Jacks car is sitting in the small parking lot. Rian parks, and we enter the small building as we are taken back into our studio, and we enter a room with the producer, Alex, Jack, Zach, and non the less, Lisa. She glares at me as she quickly wraps her arms around Alex's waist. I reach behind me, and pinch Rian as he nods his head slightly, signifying he isn't very happy she is here.

"Since you're all here, lets get started," the producer says, "we can start with drums, the bass, guitars, and then vocals."

Lisa sits next to me on the car right behind all the buttons, and sound mixers, and tuners. Before I know it Alex is up, and he makes his way in, and plugs in his headphones. He closes his eyes, and begins to sing a couple seconds later.

"I'm sitting here wishing for something that's missing

I'm waiting for you to tell me

that time keeps on passing

I'm hoping, I'm asking

to stand by your side

at least for tonight

let's follow through with this reckless dream

that's tearing me up inside

and all the time we've been so innocent

So don't you go I've got you where I want you

and I'm never letting go

hit the lights we'll be all right

tonight our dreams come true

now lets take our chances

please give me your answer

it's all up to you so please take me away

we've waited for so long

I can't say it feels wrong to close my eyes

when all I see is you

let's follow through with this reckless dream

it's tearing me up inside
