This Is How We Do

It's been two months since Rian, Alex, Jack, and Zack have left, meaning that they are coming home today. They're finally coming home, and playing in Baltimore to end their first ever tour. Everything honestly has been going to crazy. Jake, and I have been going out for about a week, and all is well. It's a little rushed but we both decided what the hell and thought it would be cool just to date, worst that could happen is we break up because we rushed things too fast, but it doesn't really matter that much yet due to the fact that he is my first relationship, and the most we've done is hold hands, and hug.

I am not going to be taking Jake along to the show tonight because I don't want to introduce the guys to him until I am sure this relationship is going to be going somewhere. I am so excited to see the guys tonight, and be reunited with them after this whole summer.

I sigh as I make my way back into the bathroom to touch up all my makeup, and my hair, and figure out the outfit that I want to wear. I touch up my eyeliner, and redo my eyebrows, and brush my teeth. I then make my way back into my room pulling out one of the shirts I had randomly made, and threw on a pair of cut skinnies. Shortly after I finish getting dressed I make my way downstairs to grab my keys, and head out the door to catch something to eat before I hit the venue.

When I finally get inside Baltimore I run into a Wendy's and gets some chicken nuggets, and a frosty. I make my way to the venue shortly after eating my meal, and play the sounds of Dance Gavin Dance throughout the car, pumping me up for the show, and to see the boys. As I make my way up to the venue my heart is beating quickly, and before I know it I see their van come into sight. I park my car, and wait outside their van for them to finish getting their things out of the van. I laugh as the boys walk out laughing, and having fun, and begin running towards me with huge smiles on their faces.  They pull me into a huge hug, and tell me how much they missed me, and how much fun they had.

I tell them I miss them too, and we make our way backstage.

"How was tour?" I ask them as all their eyes light up with excitement.

They erupt in loud yells, and they seem to calm down, and tell me all about their tour around Eastern United States. We all catch up with each other with about ten minutes to spare before they play their last set of the tour, and then we call all go home and go to school in just two days. I ask the boys if they had gotten their schedules yet, and of course everybody doesn't know yet because they haven't gone home.

We talk until the very second their manager makes them go on stage, and make my way side stage to watch them perform, and have the time of their lives. Shortly after the set the boys pack up their instruments, and we make our way out to the cars, getting ready to haul ourselves home.

"Luna?" Alex asks me, "Can you take me home?" he almost begs.

"Sure, go get your things and we can catch up individually."

He nods, and gives me a weak smile as he puts his guitar in the back seat, and returning to the van to get his suitcase. As he walks away I can't help but wonder if there is anything wrong or if he's just simply tired, but now that I look back at tonight, he did seem off all night.

He throws his suitcase in the backseat next to his guitar, and greets me as he jumps in the passenger's seat.

"Anything wrong?" I ask him about five minutes into the car ride home.

He sighs, and shrugs his shoulders, "I'm just tired, and I missed you. Touring is harsh."

"Ah, I see. So how are you, and Lisa?" I ask him as he sighs loudly, and lays his head on the back of the seat.

"We broke up. Honestly Luna, I don't want to be with her anymore, she's just so clingy." He confesses.

"Don't you say?"

There is a long silence between the two of us as he finally yawns breaking the silence.

"So, what did you do while we were on tour, missy?" He asks as I immediately go into shock, not knowing what to say, "So? Did you meet any boys I should be aware of?"

I begin blushing, instantly knowing Alex would see my red cheeks through the light of the sunset pouring through the windshield.

"Ooh, Luna met a boy! What's his name? Are you two dating?" he rushes out

"His name is Jake, and yes we happen to be dating," I reply, biting my tongue.

"Get it," he says as we both laugh, "and I expect to be meeting him soon because if he breaks your heart he is a pile of bones, got it?" he says as we both burst into laughs, knowing that there is no possible way that Alex is that strong.

The rest of the car ride consists of just me, and him catching up, one on one. Sooner than later I am dropping him off at his house, and saying goodnight to him after not seeing him for two months. And non to less, I don't even want to say goodnight.

I make my way into my house seeing my mom lying on the couch sleeping. I laugh as I drape blankets over her, and kiss her head, and turning off the lights. I make my way upstairs to my bedroom, and call up Jake. He and I catch up as we talk about how Alex wants to meet him, and we both agree that we should meet up after the first day of school so he is rested up.

My life is starting to feel normal for once, and I really like it.
