Jimin woke up late. This time, he didn't have any morning classes, so he was at ease. He got out of bed and continued with his morning routine. He dressed up like he usually did and got ready for an eventful day, because he was determined to make his move on Neptune today.
Jimin walked the halls and smiled at everyone passing, he was incredibly happy for some odd reason and everyone noticed. Jimin had never smiled at the people in the halls, and it was noticeable. He bumped into someone who turned out to be his roommate.
"Jimin!" Taehyung said, greeting his friend.
"Hi, roommate. How's your day been?" Jimin asked, with his huge smile.
"Why are you so happy today? Did something happen?" Taehyung asked smirking. Jimin laughed and shook his head, continuing his way.
Neptune: 7pm, here's the address.
Jimin smiled even wider at the text message and spent the next hour practicing on how he was gonna make a move on Neptune.
—
It was 6:30pm and Jimin was already in his car. He started the engine and started to drive. Unfortunately, there was a traffic jam.
Jimin was frustrated. If the traffic didn't start moving, he was going to be late. His knee started bouncing again, a habit of when he's worried or nervous. He beeped to the cars in front of them, only receiving one back. He was completely losing his mind.
His eyes drifted to the opposite lane. It was empty, because it was a small unimportant street. He thought about going through there, but he shook his head.
Jimin started to hit the steering wheel in anger when he received a call. He noticed Neptune's caller ID and quickly picked it up. "Hello?"
"When are you getting here? I'm waiting."
"I'll be there in no time." Jimin told her and hung up the phone. He took a deep breath and went into the opposite lane. Right at that moment, a truck was passing at high speed and it crashed right into Jimin, crushing his car completely.
Jimin was barely breathing and he could barely move. His first thought was to try and grab his phone, which he did. He dialed Neptune's number and the sweet voice answered.
"Hey, Jimin."
"Neptune, I'm sorry that I stole your wish." Jimin said in between groans. "I'm sorry that I was such a coward. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you anything. I'm... sorry. I'll be... wat...ching you... from the sky, Neptune." His last breath was heard, as the imaginary line went straight.
Jimin lived his last day, believing it was just the beginning.
—
"Why is there a star there that I haven't seen before?" Neptune asked confused as she lied in the green grass. She had been crying, because her friend had died, and she thought she was at fault.
I'm sorry that I stole your wish.
"Park Jimin?" Neptune asked to the star. Of course, there was no answer, but Neptune didn't need an answer. "How are you, Jimin? I'm not good. Why did you have to be kind enough to agree to tutor me off campus? And why did I offer that?"
Neptune sighed, and let a couple of tears to fall. "Why, Jimin?" Now she was sobbing, hiding her face in her knees. "Why were you so nice?"
After crying, Neptune took a breath and looked up. She focused her eyes on the new star and smiled. "How does it feel to look at humans admire you? I bet if feels great. I'm glad you're the one who got to live my dream, Park Jimin."
