Megan's P.O.V
"It's your appendix."
"What about my appendix?"
"We will have to preform an appendectomy. You have an acute form of appendicitis."
"Is it dangerous?"
"It can potential be if untreated."
"When will this surgery happen?"
"As soon as possible. I can get the papers and when they're all signed we can get a date set."
"Thank you."
The doctor nodded and left the room. I stared at the ceiling.
"Thank God it's not something serious."
"I think it is pretty serious, I don't think they give people surgery for anything." I snapped.
"I'm sorry sweetheart."
"I'm sorry mom, I'm just...."
"I know sweetheart, it's a stressful situation."
"I actually kind of want to sleep."
"Okay, we'll leave and give you some time to rest." My mother kissed my forehead and rubbed my hand before leaving. Only a few minutes after they left did Dylan walk in. He had on a leather jacket with some sort of pendant.
"Hey beautiful." He said setting down a bunch of roses.
"Hi, how did you know I was here?"
"I have informants."
"People keeping track of me?"
"Maybe." He smiled. He looked very handsome, but very different. His hair was shaved to a buzz cut, his eyes bloodshot, and his whole demeanour a bit different.
"I was going to call you." I stated.
"Good, I like hearing your voice." Something was distracting me about the pendant. It looked so famaliar.
"Where'd you get the jacket from?"
"A store." He hissed.
"I mean the pendant."
"Nowhere, it's none of your business."
I was taken back by his tone and he seemed to notice, he walked over to the bed and sat beside me.
"I don't mean to be rude, i'm just.....under a lot of pressure right now."
"You can tell me, you can tell me anything."
"I don't doubt it, but right now you need some rest." He said kissing my forehead. "Get well." He said winking and then walking out of the room.
I laid back. Everytime I talked to him I felt like I was dealing with two Dylans. A sweet and caring one and then a tough and disrespectful one. I wasn't sure what or who he was anymore.
