Dylan's P.O.V
I walked into Drake's back room and stood awkwardly at the door.
"Dylan, my main man, wassup?"
"Nothing much man, what can I do for you?"
"I got a little proposition for you, you make a few runs for me and I give you anything you want, free of charge."
I thought about Megan, man, this pleasing your lady thing wasn't easy.
"Man, look, my girl want me to take it easy on that stuff. Is there anything else I can do?"
"I can appreciate a man who wants to please his woman, how about fighting?"
"Fighting?"
"Underground fights."
"I'm for it."
"Good, you should go talk to my man Phillip, he'll set up."
"Aight, I'll do that."
"That's all, you can leave now."
I walked out of the room and got into my car before calling Megan. She didn't answer and I left a voicemail. I hung up the phone and just drove around trying to kill the nervousness I felt. I couldn't be nervous fighting a bunch of dudes bigger and more experienced than me.
Megan called back and I answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby, you called?"
"I did, I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight."
"That sounds really good, but I have to help out a friend."
"A friend over a night with me?" I whined.
"He really needs my help."
"He? What he need your help with?" I was instantly more hostile. I don't play with my girl.
"Can we talk about it later?"
"No."
"Dylan, you're being ridiculous."
"For trying to protect you?"
"Protect me from what? Another gang member?" She spat.
"Oh you wanna go there now?"
"Yeah, let's go there."
"See that's why you never change for women, I just turned down a whole thing of drugs for you."
She was silent.
"Sounds like a personal problem to me." She hissed before hanging up. I slammed the car wheel.
I loved Megan and everything about her and I admit I don't have the best temper, but she is always instigating.
I say one thing and she starting a whole nother argument. I continued driving deciding to have dinner alone at my apartment.
