Joseph's Pov.
" Joseph have you seen the new bicycle our friend Moses has?" Emma questioned.
" Yes I have. He is showing off with it." I replied.
Emma asked," We need to get some don't you think?".
" I agree in fact lets go ask that our so called father." I suggested.
We left the playing ground and went upstairs to dad's room.
" Dad please we want a bicycle just like our friend Moses own." I begged.
Dad was wrapped in towel and was sitting on his bed reading a newspaper. He raised his head and was looking at us with a frowned face.
" Since the two of you don't know how to knock I would teach you. Go out and knock." He yelled throwing the newspaper at us.
We reluctantly went out and Emma knock on Dad's door. He didn't respond and I knocked louder than before.
" Come in before you two idiots break my door." He shouted.
We both entered. He was still looking away.
" Dad!" We yelled in unison.
" What!" He yelled back.
" We want a new bicycle," I shouted.
" So?"Dad questioned annoyingly.
I swear this man can be so annoying sometimes.
" So it's your responsibility to buy it for us." Emma replied.
Dad burst out with laughter," You two have no shame and respect. You two have the audacity to barge in here without greeting and order me to buy you two bicycles. I must be very stupid to do that."
" Take the newspaper for me," He ordered. I took it from the floor and gave it to him.
" Thank you. As both of you have eyes and can use it to see that I'm very busy. So send your two feets to the door." He said calmly.
" Dad you are not busy. Besides we are more important than that newspaper" I interrupted pointing to the newspaper.
" The newspaper doesn't have the mouth to talk when I talk and also the newspaper respects his owner. If you don't make your legs carry your bodies out of my room, I will drag you two out." Dad warned.
" Let's go!" I told Emma.
" Mr Ango prepare for war!" I yelled and shut the door behind.
" I have a plan and we must act fast in other to execute it," I told Emma pulling him along.
" We are going to Mr Ken's backyard remember his yard grows that leaves that when it's water touches the skin you feel itchy. We would use it to teach him a lesson." I whispered to Emma's hearing.
When we got to the gates Baba wasn't at his post. No witnesses no suspicion.
We were in a hurry that we even notice that we passed by Mr Tunde without greeting." Hey! Stop there! So now you two pass by elders without greeting? Since when did you two became so disrespectful?" He said with a hand on his waist and the other leaning on his walking stick.
" We are in a hurry, we don't have time to waste and since when did you become a nosy old man. It's time you mind your own business." Emma replied, left him standing in awe.
