The path that I once took

Hi guys, First of all, thank you!! so much for giving my book a chance. It really means a lot to me.🙂. Secondly, its jus an author's note:

There is a reason why I named the parts as (III-I & III-II, V-I & V-II, VII-I & VII-II...etc). I is for the first part of the poem and II is the continuation of that part. Kindly read the first part followed by the second part in order to understand the context of the poem.

love is never conceited

love can never be defeated.

The day we first met,

I realized u were a threat.

I was mesmerized by the way you look,

it jus felt like you came right out of the book.

you came up to me and proposed,

I trusted you with my eyes closed.

And then every day was a sunshine and rainbows.

Until one day I got a blow,

the person I once loved changed,

yet I managed.

He was brutal,

he was bashful,

yet I was faithful.

I dreamt for a better tomorrow,

then came a day to put an end to my sorrow.
