Bianca's POV
The floor was hard and cold. I ignored the feeling and went downstairs. My family was sitting at the table with a few other people. My dad cleared his throat and smiled, "How about you get dressed and join us." He gave me a smile and began talking to the guests. I rolled my eyes and walked back up the steps. "That was such a waste of my energy." I whispered to myself. When I got into my bedroom I grabbed some clothes and got in the shower. The hot water bashed against my skin. It was so relaxing to be able to enter another world, and nobody cared. I washed myself well and got out. The air around me was freezing. My teeth started to chitter, so I quickly wrapped my body in a dry towel. That was the worst part of taking a shower. I dried off my body and slipped into my clothes. I looked into the mirror. I wasn't satisfied with what I was seeing. The clothes were alright, but the face? Not happening! I grabbed my brush and makeup and fixed it up.
After what seemed like forever I finally took another glance at myself. This time I was happy with what I was looking at. I went back into my bedroom and put on my Under Armour sweater. I got it from my ex a few years ago. I still wear it because it would be useless to throw a $70.00 sweater away just because you were done with someone. I grabbed my bag and threw it over my back. Finally, I was complete and ready for school. I hurried down the stairs to see if they were still there. My mom was in the kitchen washing the dishes, and Dad was at the table reading the newspaper. Like usual. "You missed breakfast." Mom said wiping her hands on her shirt. "Sorry, I was getting ready for school." She laughed and handed me a piece of toast. I devoured it and gave them both a kiss on the cheek. I smiled and walked out the door.
I got in the car and started heading for the school. The traffic wasn't bad in the morning, but it's hard to get through after school. After all I live in San Antonio. I usually didn't make it home until 4:30 which was normal, so my parents don't worry too much. When I pulled into the parking lot I unbuckled and pulled out my phone. I went through Instagram for awhile since I has awhile to go. After about ten minutes of messing around I finally grabbed my bag and went inside.
