Journey (A Jack Gilinsky Fanfic)

"So are you coming to the event tomorrow?" Jack asks me as the waiter walks away.

"Yep." I nod. "Actually my best friend was suppose to come with me today but she cancelled this morning." I add, shrugging my shoulders.

"That stinks. But hey, I'm glad you came."

"Yeah. I am too." I smile, my words the complete truth. I probably would've been home on my computer right now day dreaming about what's happening at this moment. To be completely honest I don't believe what is happening right now.

"Vine!" Nash shouts. I continue conversing with Jack as the other boys fool around. I tell him I live near Omaha, as does he. I tell him I just graduated from Omaha East this year, and he graduated from Omaha West.

I'm planning on taking a year off of school, which is probably a dumb idea but I feel like I could use it. Jack tells me he's going to go to the university of Minnesota.

The waiter comes back with all of our food, taking three trips to retrieve it all. I dig in right away, but yet try to take my time and eat politely. I mean, I guess it doesn't matter because I'm with a group of teenage boys. The table quiets down a bit since everyone's eating, but there's still loads of laugher and a few conversations.

"So what are you planning on doing after this?" Jack asks between forkfuls of pasta. I chew my food down a bit and reply.

"I was going to stop at the mall I think, then go home. Nothing really exciting."

"Sounds fun." He tells me and I giggle.

"For sure." I continue eating and finish up.

"So you like shopping?" He asks.

"Of course." He and I both laugh. "I mean I'm not a shopoholic, but I like shopping," I add and he nods.

"It's all good. I like shopping too." He admits. "I actually need some more vans."

"You could come along." I tell him, I mean he will probably decline.

The mall is literally right across the street. I'm actually surprised I had the guts to ask that.

"Are you sure?" He asks.

"Yeah, no problem." I assure him. Shopping with Jack honestly sounds like a blast.
