Chapter 11

Thank you for all of the reads and votes. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, we've been doing loads of exams and after that, the weather has been really nice so I've spent the rest of my time on the sun. Anyway here's chapter 11.
After we study, we walk back to Max's house with Daisy pestering us all the way there. She's asking max all sorts of questions about Tilly. Things like
"is her favourite colour yellow?" "Does she like peppa pig?"
"Does she wear her hair in plaits like me?"
I feel annoyed but I don't say anything to upset her. I know she's only asking all this because she's excited. We've been in this area for 4 months and she hasn't made any friends yet. The thought of making a new friend finally must be so exciting for her. As we enter Max's house, Harvey and their brother Leo are playing some game on their Xbox. Harvey looks over from his shoulder and smiles at me.
"Hi Jess. How are y..."
His sentence gets cut off when a loud beep noise comes from the TV.
"Player 2 has lost the game!"
"Oh bloody heck!" Harvey moans.
Leo stands up off the sofa and leaps in the air in what I assume is some sort of victory dance.
"I win, you lose. Haha Harvey!"
Suddenly, Tilly appears in the doorway.
"Haha Harvey lost, Leo won!" She giggles.
She looks up and sees Daisy in the doorway. She's gone all shy and she's hiding behind me.
"Tilly, come say hello to Daisy!" Max says and I move away so Daisy is stood facing Tilly.
"Hello Daisy. Nice to meet you. Do you want to play hide and seek with me?"
Daisy looks up at me and I nod.
"I'm sure Daisy would love to play hide and seek with you!"
They both run off upstairs.
It feels like a wave of relief has washed over me. Daisy has a friend!
Harvey and Leo are back to playing the game so me and Max head in the garden. Their dog pippa is lounging out in the sun. It's a really hot day so I take my denim jacket off. We sit down on the grass and talk. After a while, Harvey and Leo come and join us.
"Hey who's up for a game of football?" Harvey says, running up to the ball in the corner of the garden.
"Sure" I say and we begin to play.
Harvey passes the ball to me and I pass it to Leo and Leo passes it to Max and max kicks it over the fence by accident.
"Max! You have to go and get that!"
"Oh someone come with me!" Max moans.
"I will!" I say and we head to the front door of the next door neighbours.
A girl around my age comes to the door.
"Hi I'm we booted the ball over the fence by accident. Can we get it back?" Max says.
"Yeah sure!" The girl replies.
We follow her to her back garden where she gives us the ball back.
"Thank you so much!" I say.
"Would you like to come and play with us?" Max offers.
"Sure! I'll just tell my mum!" Says the girl.
"Can I come too?" Asks a little girl.
"No Becca."
"She can if she wants. My little sister and her little sister are in the house if she wants to join them!" Max says.
"Yay. New friends!" Shouts the little girl and runs out of the door before her sister even has the chance to say yes or no.
"I'm Oljar (pronounced Ol jay) by the way." The girl says.
"I'm max. And this is my girlfriend Jess!"
