Chapter 17

It's Holly's birthday!
As if she's finally double digits.
We wake her up by singing happy birthday. Daisy is holding a tray with pancakes on for her breakfast.
"Yay it's my birthday!" She shrieks as soon as she realises. She starts jumping around.
"Hey careful, Daisy might drop your pancakes." I say.
"I won't!" Says Daisy with determination on her face, although she's struggling quite clearly.
I take the tray off her and give it to Holly. She then opens her presents.
At school
I wave over to Max and Harvey. They run over.
"Hey Jess, my mum said we'll be round about twenty to four tonight." Says Max.
"Ok, you have got the candles haven't you?"
"Yeah we've got her present wrapped too!" Says Harvey.
"Aww she's going to have the best time!" I say happily.
"And I'm excited to meet..."
The bell cuts Max off.

Ugh I bet school goes really slow because we are excited for Holly's party.
I sit down next to Max, and Miss gives us a letter, telling us about a school camping trip.
"Hey look at this, we go camping for a whole week! That's a whole week of school that we get to miss!" Harvey says cheerily.
"Yep I'm definitely going!" Says Max.
They both look at me.
"Will you go Jess?"
"Well..." I hesitate, putting them on edge.
"Of course!" I squeal and we all laugh.
"The letter says another school will be at the campsite so we can make friends!" I say.
"Maybe Harvey will make a lady friend!" Max says mockingly winking and nudging Harvey.
"Stop it Max!" Says Harvey, his cheeks flushing red.
Max and I laugh.
"Right enough chatter children! Time for work!" Says miss, pulling out a big pile of sheets.
School!!!! Ughhhhh!!!
It's the last week of school!! I know some of you have been off for a while (lucky) but for me, my holidays haven't even started. I cannot wait for the last day. Sorry this is a short chapter, but the next chapter is the birthday. If I have any days where I'm not doing anything, I'll write a few chapters.
