The Assassin of the Great Forest

It was not just any monster.

It was a giant one, probably bigger than all of them combined.

It's black skin, made up of hard scales that shine as the sunlight glints on it.

It's wings that is sharper than any of their weapons.

A tail that produces a hissing sound that inspire fear. It has spikes that are longer than Snowbear's blade and can shoot them at will.

His face is the most remarkable one.

It has red eyespots, with glowing red eyes. Looking at it make you feel chills.

It roared so loud that they have to cover their ears and close their eyes.

After the roar, everything was silent, even the forest itself.

The friends peeked agains from behind the rock.

It was looking at them, with tail spikes unsheathed, glowing red eyes looking at their soul, and ready to pounce at his prey.

"RUN!" Puff shouted

They all ran as fast as they could. The monster was pouncing towards them.

After four jumps, it was tired. 

It charged towards them with a gaping jaw.

It was chasing Dog. Dog was trapped. She saw the monster closing in to her.

She got to look at it's eyes one more time.

The eyes instilled fear in her.

She was frozen and stunned in great fear.

She can't escape. She closed her eyes.

She was shaking.

She was crying.

Someone suddenly pulled her.

She opened her eyes, and the monster was pinned to a tree trunk. It's teeth were stuck.

She saw Puff pulling her hand.

"RUN!" Puff exclaimed

They ran as fast as they could, as far as they could.

They found a little underground cave. It was very dark, but they must hide.

Panda lit a torch. It was not just a cave. It was a chamber. They rested for a while.

After that, Dog started to cry again.

"What's the matter?" Puff asked

"I'm a weight to this group."

"No you're not."

"YES I AM!"

Dog cried. Everyone was silent. Snowbear tried to wander and observe things. She found a lever. There was a sign above.

"'Do not pull the lever unless you are courageous enough to take the consequences.'"

She pulled the lever. The cave became alive. From the ground, Five chairs erected. 

Cave knew which should be the victim. From the chairs, it sprouted three long mechanical arms that seems to be powered by electricity. The chairs grabbed everyone, except Dog.

"NNNNOOO!!!" Dog shouted

"We'll be alright." Cat tried to lie. Of course it's not alright for her.

Puff was calm. He knew this was going to happen. He instructed Dog

"Dog, there will be a voice. Listen to it, carefully. Then complete the test."

"WHAT TEST?"

The cave roared with thundering voice.

"THE TEST OF COURAGE"
