After a while,
"SHUSH! Did you here that?" Cat exclaimed
The five turned to Cat, and fell silent. They waited for another sound, but there was nothing. It was a total silence.
"I don't hear anyth-"
"Shush!" Cat commanded and still hearing for something
Dog is worried. Cat doesn't shush anyone unless there is really something. Something wrong with the surroundings.
"I-it's gone." Cat stated
"What happened?" Snow asked
"I heard something large roaming nearby. Parrot, fly high. Scout the area within 50 feet."
Panda noticed Puff readying his spear. He immediately knew there was really a something going on.
"Everybody keep your guard up. We do not know this swamp." Panda said
Parrot checked the area. There was nothing moving, nor even any noise at all. It was calm and silent. She doesn't understand, but she returned down below and reported.
"There's nothing...at all. It's all silent. What's happening?" Parrot reported
"Puff, what's going on?" Snow nervously asked
"..."
"PUFF!!"
"This part of the swamp was a noisy one, because of all the giant bugs."
Everyone then noticed that it is too silent. The monster's nearby
"The stillness before battle, it's un-bear-able." Snow sarcastically commented
Cat drew an arrow from her quiver.
She drew back the string, ready for a shot.
She then closed her eyes for a moment.
It's everyone's cue to be quiet.
With her powerful hearing, she searched for the monster.

There you are.
WIth a full drawn shot, she aimed somewhere behind Parrot and released the shot.
The rest faced in that direction.
The earth rumbled. The six was prepared.
The monster jumped out of the bush.
It roared and jumped up and down.
The six attacked.
Panda, Puff, Parrot, and Snow attacked in the front, while Cat was continously shooting arrows, and Dog is chanting blessings for them.
The monster flinched. It searched for a target.
It ran towards Dog.
"DOG!! LOOK OUT!!" Cat shouted
Dog saw the charge. Instead of just being frozen in fear, she evaded the attack by side rolling.
"WOW! That's some progress there." Snow was impressed
Because the monster missed the attack, it stumbled.
The five continued their attack.
The monster fell down, and it was not moving.
"YEAH WE DEFEATED IT!" Snow shouted in early celebration
"WAIT! EVERYBODY GET AWAY!" Puff warned
The five stepped backward, away from the monster.
He threw his spear towards the monster.
The monster was hurt and it trampled in the area. Gladly no one was nearby.
"IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!" Snow shouted
As soon as the monster recovered, the crystal on its head glowed, and it released a cracking sound.
Panda looked at Puff to check his next move. He saw Puff cover his eyes. Panda did the same.
The monster emitted a blinding flash of light.
"AAAHHH!! I CAN'T SEE!!!"
"WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??!!"
"MY EYES!!!"
"HELP ME!!! I'M BLIND!!"
The monster was ready to spit poison to Snow.
Puff ran as fast as he could.
He pushed Snow out of the way, making her snap out of her blindness.
Puff was poisoned.
Panda pushed the rest, and called for retreat.
"Everybody hide for a moment. Dog, try to heal him as much as you can."
"The heart of the swamp is nearby. It's the biggest tree. We can hide underneath it's roots." Parrot said
The five hid somewhere under the giant tree. Panda layed Puff and Dog tried to heal him as much as she can. Cat and Snow posted as lookout.
"Puff, where can I find the bitterbug?"
"Fi-find a b-b-bush w-with firefl-flies." Puff tried to speak as clearly as he can.
"Parrot, come with me. I trust your eyes. Fly up high and check if there are any fireflies nearby. The also look out for the monster. We're going to find at least ten bugs. Three for Puff, and seven for Dog so that she can create an antidote, as well as a spell that can heal it."
"Okay."
Panda started his solo adventure.
After a while, he stumbled upon a sign
"*Thou shalt not pass beyond this accursed sign*"
Panda noticed the bush nearby beyond the sign, with fireflies surrounding it.
He entered.
