Camila's POV
It's been a week since I last spoke to Lauren. She hasn't answered any of my texts or any of my calls and I've honestly been miserable. I think I really messed up with her and I'm not sure what to do.
I miss her so fucking much I can barely comprehend what's going on around me. It's like my days are useless without her. I miss her touch, her kiss, the way she makes me feel just by flashing that charming smile of hers, I miss her everything.
"Mila, snap out of it." Dinah whispered softly, looking at me sympathetically. I had told her everything that happened with Lauren the night she left and how she said she needed some time to think but it's been a week. A week is more than enough time to think. I just got her back and I already had to go and ruin things.
"She's just scared and hurt right now Chancho." I sighed, falling into Dinah's warm and comforting embrace. "She'll come around, don't worry. That girl loves you too damn much." I gave her a small smile at that, getting myself together and finishing the work the teacher had assigned at the beginning of class.
About 20 minutes later, the bell rang signaling that class was over with. I was glad to have finally gotten through the day. I walked out of the classroom and into the hallway with Dinah right beside me. I looked up because I heard my name being called. I turned around to see Keana making her way towards me.
I did not feel like putting up with her antics today. "Hey Camila, wait up!" She quickly caught up to me, catching her breath as walked next to me.
"I'll uh- I'll see you later Chancho and don't forget what I said." She hugged me before walking away, probably to go find Normani or mess with some underclassmen. I was kind of mad she left me alone with Keana. I absolutely despised her.
"What do you want Keana? I honestly don't have time for your bullshit today," I huffed, walking through the halls towards my dad's office.
"Look, I never got to apologize to you, for you know, kissing you that one time or for being shitty to you in general." She rasped awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck. I was shocked, she was apologizing to me? Wait a minute, the fact that she was apologizing at all was surprising.
"I know it's like 5 months past due but I really am sorry. I was kind of terrible to you back then and I am truly sorry for the way I acted." Letting out a nervous chuckle she continued, "A few months ago I was in a really bad place with myself. I was angry and hurt so I did stupid things to hurt the people around me. I was dumb and I regret every minute of it. I just hope you can find it in yourself to forgive me?" She finished, staring at me apologetically. She looked a little on edge, gripping her backpack strap tightly.
I thought for a moment, her apology sounded quite sincere and I could hear it in her voice that she really seemed to regret her actions.
"Um, thank you. I really appreciate that Keana." A small smile appeared across her face and her eyes shined with something I had never seen before but it quickly went away just as it had appeared.
"It's no problem," she said as I turned to walk away. Before I could get anywhere she poke out once again, "If you don't mind I'd like to take you out?" She asked softly. I stared at her confusingly, what did she mean by taking me out? Catching on to my confusion she continued. "To you know, apologize? I want to make up for being an ass to you." I smiled at her, wow, she was really taking this apology to the next level. I mean second chances are made for a reason right? I think she deserves one.
"Yeah sure, that'd be nice." I could see her eyes light up and it looked genuine.
"Um, how about tomorrow night? I'll pick you up at 7?" I just nodded, writing my number down on the piece of paper she handed me. I had nothing to do and this would be a good way to occupy my time and take my mind off of Lauren.
