"Where were you last night?"
"I told you. I went out," Luke says, tucking a lock of my dark hair behind my ear.
"You were out the whole night?"
"I stayed with a friend."
"Which friend?" I ask.
Luke pauses. "Michael."
"Michael's not in town." I say.
"I stayed at his house, though. I was with Ashton," he notices my look of disbelief and bites his lip.
"That's all, babe. I promise. Don't worry too much about me, okay?"
Although I'm still not convinced, I nod, linking my fingers with his.
"Okay."
