I arrive to the library and start reading my book.
"Boo!" Jake whispers into my ear and sits next to me.
"Shit, you can't do that!" I jump a little on my chair. "You were here already?"
"Yes, I didn't wanna be late so I came little bit early! I was hiding between those shelves."
"You scared me but I'm glad you are already here" I smile.
"What's up?" Jake asks while taking out his math books.
"Last night, when I got home I said to my dad that I was with Joanne the whole day. I never lie to my parents, never! You are already turning me into a rebel."
"I'm not turning you into a rebel! You are finding that side of you just by yourself! I mean, I never said you need to lie." Jake chuckles.
"That's true." I sigh.
"I'm sure your parents would be happy if you told the truth." Jake says with a sarcastic tone.
"Yeah sure! Hey dad, I was out the whole day with a boy and came back home late at night. With a boy who has a tattoos all over him, even on his face! Yes, he would be so happy!" I mock my dad.
"Your parents are kind of strict, huh?"
"My dad is! Mom is not that much. They have so high hopes on me so they don't want anything or anyone to ruin it!"
"But I'm your way into Harvard or wherever you are heading. From tutoring you'll get extra points."
"Yeah. But they are just afraid that I would start smoking or drinking, or using drugs even! Or the worst, get pregnant."
"Every parent is afraid of those same things, my mom included even tho I've done all those things!"
"I didn't know you are pregnant." I chuckle.
"Yeah! It's very early so it won't show yet." He laughs and puts his hands over his stomach.
"I think we were supposed to do something." I giggle.
"Yeah." Jake smiles. "I actually did my math homework last night and I think I got them right!" Jake says and puts his notebook on the table.
"Wow! You did your homework!" I said sarcastically excited.
"Shut up!" He laughs and I start going through his homework.
"These are right, all of them! I'm very proud!" I say now genuinely excited and a huge smile appears on Jake's face.
"I really have high hopes on you Jake! I know that if you really really try, you will pass every math test!"
"You make math interesting."
"Thanks!" I smile.
"And if you keep wearing those short shorts every day, you can be sure that I will enjoy these tutoring hours a lot more!" Jake says and checks out my outfit.
"Shut up." I blush and try to pull my red shorts a bit lower.
"I read your book." Jake says while we pack our stuff away.
"Already? I gave it to you yesterday!"
"It was a really short book! But it was great, I really enjoyed reading it!"
"I'm glad you liked it! What is your favorite book?"
