"Emily! Hurry up, the bus is here any minute now! You don't wanna be late on your first day!"
"I'm coming mom!" I scream and run downstairs while putting my brown, wavy hair on a high ponytail.
I run to our kitchen and grab an apple from the counter. I quickly put on my red Converse and rush out of the house with my shoelaces untied.
"Bye mom!" I scream from outside and run couple blocks to the bus stop. Just when I made it, the bus slows down next to me. Barely!
"Your shoes are untied." The bus driver says when I hop in.
"I know. I didn't have time to tie them at home." I chuckle and beep my card.
I find a seat and I finally tie up my shoes. I take the apple and a book from my backpack and I start eating my poor breakfast while reading. I always read in the bus. Or, everywhere to be honest. This time I'm reading Lord of the Rings trilogy which I've read and seen million times.
This is my first day at school after summer and I am very excited! I can't wait to see my best friend Joanne and hear what kind of summer she had.
I was helping my grandma almost the whole summer like every year, so my summer wasn't very exciting but it was nice and my skin is nicely tanned.
I arrive to the school and I find a math class where Joanne is already waiting me while braiding her long, carrot orange hair. She is also very tanned and the sun has brought more freckles into her face. She is so beautiful as always!
She sees me and huge smile grows to her face.
"Joanne!" I shout and run to hug her.
"I missed you so much!"
"I missed you too!"
Our conversation couldn't last much longer when the bell rings and we need to follow our teacher to the classroom.
"Did you hear that one guy from year above is taking same math classes with us?" Joanne asks quietly while we find the same seats as last year.
"No I didn't. Why?"
"He couldn't pass the classes last year so he needs to redo them."
"Do you know who he is?" I ask with my blue eyes wide open.
"I'm sure we'll find out very soon." Joanne says and leans back in her chair. We both start staring at the doorway and try to spot the new guy.
Very soon we see unfamiliar guy walking to the room. He is very tall, over six feet I'm sure. He has very noticeable cheekbones and his straight black hair is flipped to the side, away from the face. He has a nose ring and tattoo over his eyebrow. He looks very arrogant, at least in my opinion. He walks in like he owns the whole place and his face... Well, he looks very annoyed. I've never seen anyone with a face tattoo before.
"That's him." Joanne whispers.
"Apparently."
"Nice tattoos." She adds and stares at him. He is wearing a white t-shirt so his heavily tattooed arms and neck are showing.
"Oh Jake. Nice to see you again." Teacher says with a smile on her face.
He doesn't answer her and just finds a seat from the back of the room.
