I looked at you ,
and you had shown the real me.

You let me see how tall
I am.

You made me realize that
I am fat yet beautiful .

You had shown me my smiles ,
And sometimes my tears.

You made me notice  if I am happy ,
Or I am sad and alone.

You never lied to me .
Thank you.

Thank you for being real.

You are the only one that
I can rely on.

You are the only one who could show me my scars .
My stretch marks .

My eyes.

My eyes were black .
Yet I can see myself in you.

I can see that I could make
a difference in this world.

Thank you for letting me learn.

For telling me my brows are too thick.
My pimples had grown .

Thank you for reminding
me everyday
that I
am alive and free .

You might be always forgotten.

Fogged and sometimes webbed .

But thank you again ,
my mirror.

For showing me myself.

With no lies and refractions.

Thank you for fueling my confidence.

Thank you for correcting my innocence .

Thank you.

Thank you for hanging in my wall ,

Thank you for striking a strip of light on my face every
morning to
wake me up.

Arigato.

And that's not a lie.

Thank you for being there ,
my foggy mirror.
