Lunch time during Monday, I am pretty sure I am two minutes away from murdering someone.
They just adore him. They just adore the daredevil while I sit there, feeling both dumbfounded and annoyed.
I am trying to control my mood like I did last Saturday night, and I am supposed to be good at it. But it's in the fact that my friends just love him immediately kind of gives me a little doubt if it was normal to be annoyed at Harry.
Runner told me earlier he'd invite a friend for lunch and that he is nice. I didn't know that it was Harry and man, are they getting along so well.
"Hey, Tay, what's up with you and Italiano?" Louis whispers to me seeing a he's the best one in reading people.
Seeing as the rest of the table is too busy conversing with Harry, I take my moment to look at and answer Louis. "Let's just say we're not exactly 'simpatico' at the moment," I answer, making those air quotes with my fingers.
"Really?" He asks and flashes a smile. "Didn't seem like it, though. I thought you two were friends. I mean you did, recommend him for the team."
I take a bite out of my mashes potatoes that I've grown to love, "Nope, not exactly our story."
"Gee, Runner likes the lad," he says and looking at it now I know they could be friends. Runner is even seated with him right now, and so is Micha. She seems to like Italiano a lot and she had been asking him a lot of stuff for a while now.
I continue eating, not wanting to break off the nice atmosphere around. It's pretty rare when we'd have a very nice time so I really don't want to destroy it.
"So are you really dating Lindsey?" Micha asks, eating her grilled sandwich after.
Harry nods politely, "Yes, that's true."
"How do you find her?" She asks, continuing with her interview. Madz may be the journalist in our crew but Micha gets on with the latest gossip in the speed of light.
"She seems nice," he answers.
With that Runner and Louis burst laughing and I'm honestly trying my best not to laugh too. First impressions never last, Lindsey is every bit far from nice.
Louis continues laughing out loud and wipes the tears in his eyes, "I hope you really don't mean Lindsey Sharon."
"Is — is there something wrong with her?" Harry asks, confused.
It is probably in that moment that we all realize that he isn't fooling around, he's really dating Lindsey.
"None," Louis answers immediately and maintains his innocent facade until Micha starts interviewing Harry again.
He curls his nose and looks at me, "Clearly ain't that smart," he whispers and I laugh.
Clearly.
"Eh, I'll give it two months," I say.
"One month," Lou bets and honestly, I can even wager two weeks but if Harry really is a fool, yep, two months.
"Jeez, you two, knock that off," Madz says, probably hearing our conversation. "Can't you at least try to be nice?"
"We are being nice, cousin," He says. "If he hears us and then let it be blessing for him to, you know, get rid of Lindsey."
"Gee Lou, harsh," I tell him but I still laugh.
"Not harsh, just honest," he replies. "As much as I hate to admit it, I'd really rather steal you from Runner than choose Lindsey."
"Runner told me that too!" I say and laugh again, now actually hoping that Italiano isn't listening or he'd hate me even more.
