It's already our flight to Verona, and needless to say, Isabelli pulled strings so that the four of us will be in the same hotel room. Smart. . .smart. . . smart.
Of course, not the entire senior high population came, it's only the fair number of a hundred and twenty three, separated in three hotels and twice the staff is used.
The flight. . . another long one. . .
I can't sleep.
Well, the sleep thingy isn't exactly new to me ever since Harry because the thoughts are just pouring in, it's not that I'm still debating. . .I'm not, what's getting me are the memories.
I have seen him just once before the flight but only for a split second and from a distance so I never really had a decent talk with him.
In the end, I am the one who fell asleep first. . . again.
When I wake up in the afternoon, it looks like a disaster. Madelaine is currently unpacking, Isabelli is eating some Oreos, as she talks with the rest quite loudly whereas Micha is brushing her teeth in her underwear, blabbering about something that Isabelli probably could understand.
I haven't unpacked yet so that's what I start doing. Halfway there, we all suddenly stop in what we're doing when we hear a high-pitched scream from the bathroom. . . from Micha.
I'm thinking, cockroach or any other insect.
"What?" Isabelli asks. "What's going on?"
When Micha doesn't answer, I say, "Hey, Micha! What's going on?!"
"Who the hell are the boys with?" She asks very loudly. "We're like four per hotel room!"
I sigh, "They're only three, no one's with them."
"What?!" She yells, her voice booming from the bathroom.
"We have a hundred and twenty-three students, Micha! Thirty-one hotel rooms! Including the staff, thirty-five, from three different hotels. Get it?" Isabelli tries to explain.
"No!"
"Four times thirty is equals to a hundred and — oh forget it! I'm not explaining it to you," she grumbles and just continues stuffing Oreos into her mouth because explaining Math to Micha is like telling a cat to speak which is sometimes, needless to say, useless. She's not dumb, she just doesn't want to understand it, big difference.
So like I said, Madelaine and Isabelli are the geniuses in this group.
"Do you cats want to head out?" I ask because I've just slept. I am not feeling energized I just want to be up and running.
Isabelli and Madz look at each other and smile.
"Are you sure there isn't a Harry involved?" Isabelli teases and there it was again, her prettiest smile.
"No," I answer immediately, partly with disappointment in my tone. "I haven't even talked to him in ages."
"Yeah, I'm in. I'm kind of itching for gelato," Madz says.
"You do know that gelato is just icecream, right?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course, I watched Despicable Me," she mumbles adding on her trademarked eye roll because believe it or not, she's the one that has the best eye roll in the cats group.
So the four of us head out, this time, in consultation of Google Maps and luckily, we got pass through our teachers because we aren't even allowed to go out just yet.
"Should we head somewhere?" Isabelli asks me.
I shrug, "I don't know, I've never been here before. Rome, yes, but not here."
