"One more?! Seriously?!" I whine. "You've been eating like the entire time we've been here!"

I am currently in the orphanage Runner volunteers in almost every Saturday. Of course, I am never in the mood for kids so I sit on one of the benches at the very back, with Fissler while they feed the children.

Fissler had grown awfully huge since I last saw him. He had grown quite an appetite as well because the whole bag of dog food Runner brought with us, is almost empty and Fiss is still asking for more.

There had been a lot of Saturdays that went on like this so I find myself getting rather attached to Fissler. Not only attached, also insane as I've been talking to him for a while now, tossing pieces of dog food from time to time.

"Okay, you better catch this one or I won't give you some for the next ten minutes." I take out a piece of dog food and Fiss watches me.

"Three, two, one." I toss the piece near his mouth but unfortunately, Runner didn't train him for tricks so Fissler tries to find the piece that fell to the ground.

After finding it, Fissler walks back to me and sits in front of me. He places his paw on my lap and I put it back down to the ground. "Not for the next ten minutes."

It does it again. I roll my eyes. "Fine, five minutes."

Again. . . "One minute."

It keeps doing it as I count a minute in my head before I give him another one. "I swear to God, you need to go on a diet."

"I'm pretty sure this seat is not taken."

What the shite?! I know that voice.

I look up and see Georgia, Runner's older sister smiling very sweetly at me and I do not appreciate it. She sits down next to me and I try my best to stay quiet.

Where did she come from?!

"I see you have been accompanying Denny to his volunteer work," she says.

Obviously.

"Y-Yeah?" I try not to sound rude.

"Good," she mumbles and sighs. Uncomfortable silence fills the space between us.

Fissler walks closer to me so in hopes to calm my nerves, I run my palms through its fur.

"Did you have a nice break?" Georgia asks. Is she trying to be nice or something? That's a first.

"I did," I lie. "Did you?" I don't look at her.

"So-so. I see you and Fissler are coming along. Runner told me you don't like dogs," she says.

"R-Runner told you about me?" I ask, finally looking at her.

"That's not the most surprising part. Surprising is, I'm actually listening," she replies with a smile. "I guess you're not as awful as I thought you were."

I'm actually very, very, estranged right now. I am not used to kindness from any of Runner's sister.

"Oh I get it, you're new to this kind of thing," Georgia says, realizing how silent I was. "That's okay, I wasn't the best sister-in-law, know what I mean?"

My eyes widen in horror. Sister-in-law?! Seriously?!

She laughs at me, "Just kidding. But don't tell me you haven't considered that yet."

I lick my lips and smile at her innocently. I haven't considered it but really, I can't tell her. "That's way too far from now. I don't really bother with distance futures."
