Chuck dragged me everywhere the next day. I didn't even get to have any coffee to wake me up. He took us far off campus. And let me remind you, I am no longer close to where my parents and brother live. The university offered me a scholarship and here I am. Sadly still trying to figure out what I want to be.

"Here! They make the best bubble tea." Chuck said grinning as I blinked at him and he flung open the door.

A wash of cold air hit me and I shivered slightly before walking in. I looked around seeing signs of people drinking the bubble tea. What the heck is even bubble tea?

It was like an electric light blue color of the bubble teas he ordered for us. I felt bad that he paid but it was too late now. All I could do was pay him back. I slurpped some and it wasn't too bad.

"You know walking everywhere- no being dragged everywhere is a pain," I grumbled and Chuck laughed.

"Being dragged all over the mall will be worse," he said grinning and I huffed.

"So you're trying to be a pain?" I asked only for him to pull me along.

"Come on Tay."

It was a long walk/run since we switched back and forth. But as soon as we stepped into the cold building you could see tons of people from teens, parents with children, or couples which wasn't that often seen.

"So where do you want to go in the Brilliant Rose," Chuck said grinning after he threw away his cup and placed his hands on his hips.

"Brilliant Rose?" I asked after throwing away my cup.

"It's the name of this huge mall," he said laughing and I nodded glancing around, shops with cooking sets slightly caught my eye.

"Um..well where do you usually go?" I asked turning to look at him only to find him gone at a small pretzel shop.

I huffed walking over. The closer I got the more I noticed he was flirting with the cashier. I rolled my eyes smiling and nudged him making him jump.

"O-Oh hi, I was just getting us some pretzels," he said as the cashier passed two pretzels over then small plastic cups with cheese.

"Seems like you were more like flirting," I said as he passed me a pretzel and cup of cheese as the cashier's cheeks tinted with pink, he wished us a good day before we walked off.

"Geez, do you have to make things so obvious?" Chuck huffed as he took a bite of his pretzel as I chewed then swallowed.

"Did you pay?" I asked and winked chewing then swallowed.

"I paid with flirting," he said and I shook my head dipping my pretzel into the cheese and took a bite.

We walked around while eating. I looked around and we walked in an area with fake trees that were made into the wall and the branches spread out above us but didn't cover the windows on the ceiling. There was a few benches made our of fake vine here and there. I could tell they were sturdy with the hard material, especially since a couple with their child was sitting on one. Soon Chuck leads us to a store with lots of deer heads on the wall. It creeped me out and I shivered.

"Calm down, not all the animals are real," he said picking up a toy gun that looked slightly like the real thing to use to hunt.

"That totally makes me feel better," I said rolling my eyes. "Why are we in here?" I asked and he grinned pointing it at me then pressed the trigger making me yelp when a red thing shot out my way.

I hugged my head tightly with my eyes closed. I heard laughter and opened my eyes. Chuck was holding his stomach laughing. I glanced down to see the fake red rubbery bullet attached to a string then glanced back at him glaring as he wiped away his tears of laughter.

"There's something cool in the back," he said putting the toy gun back and I grumbled as he walked deeper into the store and I followed.

He leads us to a slightly dark area. I heard children giggling which was cute but slightly creepy since it was dark. Soon kids ran past us making me blink and a mother came apologizing before going after the kids. Chuck laughed before tugging me along. Soon I saw fishes behind gasps that slightly glowed. The beautiful blue color on one side and then a green color on the other side. I walked over to get closer to the glass. Fishes swam around, a big catfish scared me by coming out of nowhere.

I smiled softly when I thought of bringing Manny here. He'd love to see all the fishies. Now I sound like a baby. My eyes followed a redfish and eventually, my eyes fell on to a dark figure. I walked over to the right where the light shined slightly more and my breath caught in my throat.

I knew that figure. Not that well but I knew it. The figure looked enchanting from the colors of the tank. The head was lifted and blue-green eyes were on me. I waved gently before turning my back to find Chuck pointing at fishes talking to kids smiling.....well I thought. Turns out it was a teen girl over there as well, that he was flirting with. I shook my head smiling before grabbing the collar of his shirt and dragging him out of the store.

"I thought you were gay?" I slightly yelled but not too loud for others to hear.

"I am."

"Then why were you flirting with a girl?"

"Did you just assume a person's gender?"

"....."

"Kidding, it was a girl. Flirting is fuuuun. Boy or not. As long as they have a nice reaction or flirt back it's all good."

"Sweet apples."
