Taylor Bailey Reed what have you got yourself into? I was standing by Beck's side as he knocked on the door earlier. He so happened to leave his key back at his dorm. I wasn't sure what his family was like but believe me I would never guess. Now a little girl is tugging my hair that I tried to do nicely with my nice clothes I wore to impress his family.
"Cake! Cake!" she screeched tugging hard.
"Ow ow! Beck!" I whined and tried to get her off me which he ran out the kitchen to me in an apron.
"Sorry sorry." Beck said pulling her off and glared. "Why are you acting that way? You know you can't have cake until after dinner. And don't act like this with guests especially Taylor." he said sternly.
"I-I'm sorry!" she sniffled with watery eyes looking at me, it felt like my heart was just shot with an arrow.
"It's alright." I said smiling gently as I squat down at her level.
Beck smiled at us then turned heading back to the kitchen. His little sister Bethany raised her arms up just like how Manny would. I picked her up feeling a bit home sick. But soon after this I would go to see my family and Manny would run into my arms.
"Becky won't give me cake." she pouted.
"No Cake." I heard a deeper voice groan and out walked out Beck's uncle from the kitchen.
I learned that Beck lives with his uncle, little sister, grandma, and he also has a cousin but they aren't here. His family was a bit smaller than mine was. I hope he wouldn't mind my family.
"Hello Buck." I said grinning still Beck's uncle who grinned back before picking up Bethany, throwing her up into the air gently which caused her to giggle.
Even if the family was small their a lot of love to go around. I smiled at the two then headed into the kitchen. There I saw Beck's grandma showing him how to make a cake. Guess Beck did it wrong because his face was twisted a bit into frustration.
"I can help set up the table?" I suggested making both turn their head to look at me and his grandma smiled.
"Yes that would be nice dearie." she said and turned to Beck with a mean face. "See! That's manners!" she said making me blink as I looked for plates.
"Yeah yeah grandma." Beck said rolling his eyes as she hit him with the spoon. "Ow!"
"Now wash it!" she said handing it to him as he grumbled taking it. I giggled behind my hand and smiled at the two before pulling out plates then left to set up the table.
The way Beck's family interacted with each other was interesting. And it made me think of my own family. I grew more home sick by the thoughts. But soon I would see them but with Beck tagging along. I didn't know howy parents would feel about him or even my big brother ugh... and who knows if my grandparents will be there.
"Dinner's ready!" I heard Beck's grandma holler as she walked in with a bowl of mash potatoes.
Beck soon came out the kitchen carrying out the turkey. I saw his uncle go in and come out with green beans and well I went in to get the gravy and steak. Even Beck's sister carefully carried the bowl of peas to the table. But their was still food to be brought to the table. After that was all over we all sat at the table as Beck poured us sparkling raspberry- which was a bit different. His little sister got grape juice though since they didn't think she was even ready for sparkling, which I probably been had some at her age.
"Now for grace." his grandma said as Beck ran over to the seat next to me and sat down grabbing my hand. I blushed and closed my eyes after grabbing his then his sister's.
