"Is that the last of it?" asked Sunny.

After almost a year of living with us while we dated, Sunny got tired to hearing us most nights of the week. So, she decided it was time for her to move out, like Sooyoung, Yoona, Yuri, Seohyun and Hyoyeon had. Although I sort of liked the idea of living alone with my girlfriend, I would really miss having the midget around. And now was not a great time to not have a friend around.

About 7 months ago, the three of us were watching a drama in the living room. That was the day I noticed Taeyeon looking at me strangely. That night, I asked her what was wrong and as expected, she said, "nothing."

I let it slide since I thought that maybe it really wasn't anything special and I was just worrying for no reason. However, I started to notice that Taeyeon had started to become more and more bizarre.

First, she seemed to be more busy at the studio. I thought it was because she was already preparing for her second album, but when I went to surprise her at the recording studio, a producer she was working with told me she didn't have anything scheduled that day. That was strange, but again I shook it off thinking that Taeyeon was a strange person herself and has weird phases.

Second, she didn't talk to me as much. That was normal. I didn't expect her to text me or call me every day. I mean we lived together, but even when she came back home from her "day at the studio", we didn't speak much. I tried to initiate conversations often, but I mostly received one-worded answers or extremely short and dry answers. I associated that to her being tired.

Third, there was less and less affectionate gestures. That was the cherry on top. I get that she can be tired, but come on. We had more time for private moments when she was promoting than now.

"Sunny," I called my friend out after all the movers had left and Taeyeon was talking on the phone outside.

"Yes?" She answered as she placed the last box down.

"Have you noticed anything strange going on with Tae?"

She looked out the window and sighed. "So you noticed too?"

I nodded and sat down on her new couch. "Do you know what's happening with her?"

She shrugged and sat down next to me. "I thought she was stressed or something, but I've never seen her like this."

"Do you think..." I gulped and took a deep breath. "Do you think she's cheating on me?"

"What?!"

"Quiet down!" I hissed. I wanted to have a private talk with Sunny and we couldn't speak too loudly since the windows were open and even though Taeyeon was on the phone, she could hear something if we yelled.

"Why would you think she's cheating?" She asked in a calmer tone.

I explained to her everything that has been happening in the last months and Sunny nodded. "Although it would sound like cheating, maybe it's just a misunderstanding. You know Taeyeon is pretty secretive."

Just as I was about to reply, we both heard the front door being open. "Sorry, Sunny, but I have to leave. Something at SM popped up and my manager called me in." Taeyeon told us with an apologetic smile.

"Oh, okay. I'll see you soon then." Sunny said as she got up and hugged Taeyeon quickly.

"Fany, do you want to leave now or would you want me to pick you up later?" She asked me before leaving.

I looked at Sunny who mouthed 'go' and smiled softly. I smiled back and went to join my girlfriend at the door. Taeyeon opened the door for me and the whole car ride remained silent. To say everything felt extremely foreign would the understatement of the century.

I looked out the window just to try and stop the urge of staring the short-haired beauty driving the vehicle. At the same time, my heart was racing insanely fast at the idea of confronting said beauty. When was the right time to talk? Is there really a 'right time'? I mean I could potentially be told by the love of my life that I've been cheated on by her and that it's the end.

Calm down, Steph. You don't know she's cheating. You're just going a little crazy due to the lack of communication. Taeyeon loves you and you know that. I told myself.

"Fany-ah?" Her voice broke me out of my thoughts. I hummed in response and realized we had arrived at the dorm where only she and I lived now. "We're here."

"Right." I said quietly. As I grabbed the handle to open the door, I stopped myself and turned back around to look at Taeyeon. "Tae, when are you coming back tonight?"

She scratched the back of her head and shrugged. "I'm not sure. Why?"

I sighed and bit my lip. "We need to talk."

She frowned slightly and it was her turn to sigh. "You want to break up, don't you?"
