Chapter 60

I was sitting in the hallway at the police station. Carler was standing by the counter, reading some papers and I was waiting for the attorney to come out of the room where Niall and he were speaking. I had been sitting here for more than an hour and Keli had offered to go and get me some real coffee from the café around the corner.

She and Liam came home about 3 hours ago and the first thing Liam did was to meet up with the attorney. Soon enough, I got bored with just sitting there so I walked over to Carler and put my hands on the counter. He looked up from his papers and gave me a smile.

Carler: Miss Molins.

Stella: who am I, My mum?

He smiled and looked back down at his papers; I sighed and turned around so my back was facing the counter.

Stella: This is taking ages!

Carler: what happened to your friend?

Stella: Coffee run, the coffee you serve here is disgusting.

Carler: Yeah tell me about it.

I turned back to him again and he kept his eyes on his papers. And I was bored...

Stella: Okay, top 5 phrases that'll create sexual tension, go!

He looked up at me and shook his head while smirking.

Stella: Fine, I'll go first. "Make me", your turn.

Carler: Stella I'm not playing.

Stella: Yeah that's not creating any sexual tension. Come on, don't be a pussy.

Carler: I'm a cop, I've shot after people, I'm not a pussy.

Stella: Prove it.

I winked at him and he laughed and closed the file that his papers were in.

Carler: "What's in it for me?"

Stella: "oh really"

Carler just shook his head and looked around the room. It was almost empty except for some drunks sitting over by the coffee machine.

Carler: Okay... "prove it"

Stella: "Scared, Potter?"

Carler: Really? I don't think that would create any sexual tension!

Stella: Wanna bet?

He laughed and just shook his head again.

Stella: You shake your head to much.

Carler: You make me shake my head to much.

Stella: I-

Keli: Stella I've got your coffee!

I turned around and saw Keli stand by the entrance with her foot holding the door open and her hands filled with coffee cups. I walked over and held the door so she could walk inside and she walked over to the counter. She handed Carler one cup and me another.

Keli: I figured, since you're working here you would be tired of that disgusting coffee.

Carler: Thanks, that's highly appreciated.

Keli: Yeah whatever, it's just coffee.

She took my arm and walked us over to the seats again.

Keli: what are you doing?

Stella: Waiting...?

Keli: I mean with Mr hot cop over there.

Stella: What? Nothing!
