In the house of Anderson, the two couples sat next to each other watching the CNN news about the latest in the global market and economic world.
They both took interest in it for a long time and Anderson would not make a decision without Stella.
It has become habitual for them to watch the news in the morning even before breakfast, and the their cup of café Latte is always with them to make it more intriguing.
The love they have for each other makes them hope for a new beginning all time. The teases, the jests, the admirations, all was still like they were young.
Anderson and Stella, despite that they are in their late forties and mid fifties respectively, everyday looks like they just met. Their love is never going old with them, instead, it strengthens as year goes by year.
Mike trudged from his room through the passage that leads to the living room but as he caught sight of his parents on the couch, he stood transfixed.
Their lives have been so enriched with amour and he couldn't just think if there possibly exist a briskly and happy couple as them. Their love never seem to fade no matter what. True love doesn't, he thought.
"Mom, dad, good morning," he greeted as he leaned to give his mom a light peck.
It means more to him than he let it out to be, he wouldn't start his day without a peck from his mom and a hug from his dad.
"Son, how are you doing? Do you have a lovely night?" Stella asked as she pat Mike, watching him adorably.
He hugged Anderson but he was too engrossed in the juicy news that he just gave him a half hug. Mike took no offence, it is not new to him.
He downed his heavy weight on the couch his expression making it seem like he is frayed.
"What's wrong?" Stella asked worriedly as she fixed him a skeptical gaze.
"Nothing mom, just kind of weak but it's normal. An aftermath of yesterday's fun,"
"Oh. . You scared me," she said in relief.
"Why are you bothered, he is all grown now except that you still treat him like a baby all time. And he should've seen it coming when he couldn't take a rest and went all night partying yesterday," Anderson complained.
"Stop it dad, I just have to go. My friends organised a simple welcome party for me and when you taught me manners, you warned me of letting people down," he said innocently.
"It's left to you son," Anderson concluded.
"Anyway I came to see you and it looks like the mood this morning is kinda smelling love, don't know if there is room for interruption," he winked.
"Silly boy,"
Stella hit his shoulder and left for the kitchen to get breakfast done.
She knows better than getting in the way of their conversation and she thinks she'd rather excuse the two.
"So? What's the matter?"
"I just talked to Mr Thomas," Mike started.
"Oh about the investment? So what was your conclusion?" Anderson asked, expecting a good news from his son.
"I briefed him about the whole thing and he said right now, he is at the capital but he's sure gonna be back today and then we can fix an appointment,"
"That's good, so does he sound intrigued by the whole deal?"
"Eehm. . , with the look of things, he feels enthusiastic about it and I think when we get to talk about it well we're gonna strike the deal easily,"
