"You did not!" I argue as we all laugh at the table.
"No lie, literally punched Ender straight in the face because he scared me so bad." Dansby laughs.
"It's true, I had a bruise on my jaw for a week." Ender chuckles rubbing his jaw.
"Aw you poor baby." Megan says leaning over Ender and rubbing where he was.
I'm not gonna lie she was a little tipsy seeing as how we had a few beers. "She good?" Dansby whispers in my ear.
I nod a giggle as Ender teases her back, they are going to be adorable. "Yea she's just a light weight."
"What about you?" He ask eying me with a smirk.
"You're outta luck Swanson." I whisper in his ear placing my hand on his knee. "It takes more than a few beers to get me tipsy."
"Well I've got some cheap wine back at my place wanna dip out on these two?" I raise my eyebrow at the preposition.
"It might take more than that to get me home." I tease.
"What if I throw in some time in the hot tube?" He ask sweeting the deal.
"I think you've got yourself a deal." I grin squeezing his knee.
Dansby's eyes light up as he turns back to the two flits in front of us. "Hey I think Taegan and I are gonna go ahead and head out. I wanna get to bed early before we have to be back at the field tomorrow."
"Ok well I'll see you tomorrow then buddy." Ender says though every time he speaks I just die over his accent.
"Yea I'll see you at the house Tae." Megan waves.
I nod as Dansby takes my hand and leads me out to his truck once again. "Do you mind if we stop by my place so I can get a swimsuit?" I ask as we approach the road we would need to turn on.
"Yea, of course." He nods. "How do I get there?"
"Turn right here." I point and he does so. "And it's this second neighborhood."
"This is a really nice neighborhood." He comments as we pull into it.
I nod. "Yea well being a successful realtor and a vet we're able to rent in a nicer place. Oh it's this one right here." I say pointing as he pulls into my drive way. "Wanna come in and meet my baby?"
Dansby face goes white. "Uh what?"
I laugh at how he thought I meant and actual baby. "My dog Dans, my baby is my dog." I laugh uncontrollably.
Dansby face looks relieved as he begins laughing with home. "Oh, ok wow." He breathes running a hand through his hair.
"Was that a deal breaker?" I continue laughing as I climb out.
"Just a bit." He chuckles following me to the front door where Munson meets us barking and jumping all up on Dansby.
"Munson down!" I say making him jump down and run over to me. I bend down and pick him up nuzzling him with my face. "Hey baby. Mommy can only stay a minute." I coo before turning to Dansby. "Meet Munson." I smile.
"Munson like...." he trails off and I smirk.
"Larry Munson, the voice of your georgia bulldogs." I say in my announcer voice.
"Wow you weren't joking when you said you're a hardcore Georgia fan." He laughs bending down and picking up Munson who I had sat down.
"Hey I warned you." I call over my shoulder as I make my way into my room to find a bikini. I notice Dansby didn't follow me which I thought was sweet. Most guys I bring home are jumping to get into my room because they think it leads to my bed. But not Dansby, he's respectful.
Grabbing my favorite one from Victoria's Secrete I throw it in my bag along with a big t-shirt and running shorts for after. Walking out I see Dansby sitting on the floor playing with Munson. The sight brought and involuntary aw from my lips catching Dansby's attention.
"Hey ready to go?" He says getting up and giving Munson a rub on the head.
"Yea." I nod leaning down to Munson on the floor. "Did you make a new friend? Yes you did? Alright mommy will be back later be a good puppy." I coo as I back towards the door.
Dansby and I jump back in his truck and head towards his house. We spent the whole time joking, laughing and singing. "Here we are." He says as we pull into a decent sized house. Honestly I expected a bigger one since he's a baseball player but I love how modest he is.
Opening the door to his place he lets me in first and I am jumped on by a black and white beauty. "Oh hi there." I giggle petting the pup who jumped on me.
"Alright Bentley that's enough girl." Dansby laughs pulling her off me. "You can put your stuff in my room and change in there if you want." He says pointing to a door down the hall.
"Alright." I nod and start that way, pushing the door open I see a huge bed which looks comfortable as hell. I put my bag on it and begin digging through it trying to find my bathing suit.
Pulling it out I slide out of my shorts and step into the bottoms before pulling my top over my head. Just as I undo my bra the door creaks open. "Tae do you- oh my god I'm so sorry!" Dansby panics as I quickly cover myself with my shirt.
His was as red as a fire truck when I looked at him laughing. I quickly slip into my top and walk over to him. "You can open your eyes now." I laugh placing my hand on his and pulling them from his eyes.
"I really didn't mean to walk in on you." He rushes.
"I know." I say shaking my head. "Don't worry about it, I was invading your room anyways."
Dansby reaches for the back of his neck in embarrassment. "No you aren't invading. Why don't you go ahead and get in and I'll get changed and bring the wine." He offers.
"Sounds perfect." I smile pressing a kiss to his cheek and heading out to his backyard. I sigh as I slip into the water and let the warmth relax me.
I hear the door slide open but I keep my back to it and begin pulling up my hair. I wasn't till a moment later my phone buzzes next to me. As I reach to pick it up Dansby slides into the hot tub. I go to put my phone down since he got in but he shakes his head. "No check it." He grins.
"Why?" I slowly ask.
"Just look." He chuckles.
I flip my phone over and see and instagram notification.
