"Hey," I say as Leah gets into the car.
I drove to her house to pick her up so we could get to school.
"Hey," she seats down and I give her a quick peck on the lips.
I pulled out of the driveway and headed down towards the school.
When we arrive, I get out and she stays seated. Worry all over her expression.
"Leah? What's wrong?," I sit back down in the drivers seat and look at her.
"Tyler," she mumbles and looks towards the building.
"Everything's gonna be okay," I say.
She nods and we both get out. I hold her hand as we walk towards the school. People turned to us and stared at our conjoined hands.
Whispers like "why is she with the nerd?" Were heard but we ignored them. I walked her to her class and kissed her then hurried off to my class.
I smile. Maybe today will be a good day.

Well, it was a good day. I fall to the ground and my lunch goes everywhere. He tripped me in the cafeteria as I was walking towards Leah, who was sitting at a table not far away. Horror on her face as I landed on my side. She gets up and starts running towards me.
"Tyler leave him alone!," Leah yells and helps me up.
Tyler's 'followers' pulled Leah away from me and Tyler pushed me to the ground again.
"Get your hands off of her!," I yell at them.
"Oh that's right, you two are now dating," Tyler growls at me.
The cafeteria was silent.
"Yeah we are, don't touch her," I say and look at Leah who was trying to get to me.
Suddenly a voice speaks up from the entrance of the cafeteria.
"Tyler back off," Jake says.
I sigh in relief.
Tyler kicks me and turns to him.
"What are you going to do about it?," Tyler smirks.
Jake starts walking over.
"Beat your ass again," he says.
Tyler snorts and some of Tyler's 'followers' walk over.
"All of us?," Tyler challenged.
Jake shrugs.
Where are the damn teachers?! Tyler takes the first punch and jake dodges it. Jake shoves him back.
I slowly get up to be shoved down again by one of Tyler's friends. I groan as he kicks me in the stomach.
"Well he's not alone," I see some of jakes friends walk over.
Not even two minutes later, a fist fight broke out in the middle of the cafeteria. All the bystanders hurried out. Leah was yelling for me.
"Why would you want to help a nerd?!," I hear Tyler yell at jake who quickly dodged a punch.
"He doesn't deserve this! He's my friend and I'm not like you," jake says and Tyler punches him in the face.
That's it!
I get up after grabbing the guys leg who was holding me down and pulled him down. I kicked him as hard as I could. I could tell that jake was struggling and I got over there when Tyler raised his fist again. I grab it and twist it back. He yells and I push him to the ground.
Jake was on the ground and the guy holding Leah let go of her.
"Leah help jake," I say.
She nods and runs to jake.
Tyler's friends left the room as they heard that teachers were coming. Jakes friends helped him because he was soon unconscious. It was Tyler and I left in the middle of the room.
Tyler stood up.
"Just give up nerd," he says angrily.
I shake my head.
"No! You hurt jake, you hurt Leah, you hurt me and who knows how many other people suffered!"
He smirks.
"You can't do anything abo-," he starts but I punched him in the face. He stumbles back. Blood dripped down his face. He speed walks towards me and tries to punch me. I dodged it. Teachers came running up to us.
"Tyler! That's  enough!," the principal yells.
Tyler ignores him and hits me in the stomach.
I stumble but hit him in the face as hard as I could. He falls to the ground. I.. I hit him unconscious. I look at Leah and we both looked at each other with wide eyes.
An ambulance was called for Tyler and jake.
Everyone was lead out of the room by teachers except for Leah, the principal and I.
Leah hugs me and I hug back.
"Ashton.. I want to see you in my office," the principal says.
