On My Mind..

Leah looks at the clock on the wall. School ended in 2 minutes. Leah sighed.
Ashton has been in a coma for 1 month now. She has visited him everyday now for 1 month straight. Everyone knows how she changed.
Her marks went down slightly. She didn't look happy. She didn't dress as nice.
Leah got up quickly when the bell rang and bolted out the door.
She speed walks to her car and notices Jake and his friends were there and then her friends were also there.
"What's up guys?," she asks quietly.
"We are worried about you..," Jessica, one of Leah's friends says.
Leah nods and tries to move around them to her car.
"Well I'll be fine when Ashton wakes up," Leah says and gets into her car.
"If he wakes up..," Jessica whispers sadly.
Leah grips the wheel of her car tightly.
"He will."
"We're here for you," Jake says, just before Leah drives away.

Leah sits next to Ashton's bed once again. She grabs his hand and stares at him. She could feel her eyes watering.
If he wakes up..
Leah shakes her head. He will wake up.
Tears start streaming down her face.

Why can't I wake up? The light has become closer now that I could float to it easily but something is telling me not to go to it.
I look around when I hear crying. I don't see anything? That sounds like Leah..
"Ashton.. please wake up, I need you.. I love you.."
I close my eyes. I need to see her.. please. When I open my eyes please let me see her..

Leah feels Ashton's finger twitch underneath her hand. Leah gasps.
"Ashton?!," she quickly stands.
She runs out of the room to get a doctor or a nurse.

I'm blinded by a bright light. I blink a few times. Everything was blurry for a few moments before they became clear.
I look to my right side and see flowers on the stand next to the bed.
Looking  around the room, I realize I'm in the hospital. Everything comes rushing back to me and I try to sit up.
I feel pain go all through my body, mostly my side. I look to see a huge bandage covering what was probably a nasty wound.
"L-l-Leah?," I whisper.
My voice sounded terrible and I stuttered a lot.
I want to see Leah..
I sit slowly and move to get off the bed. I swear if this turns out to be some walking dead crap where when I wake up it's suddenly a zombie apocalypse.. Ill jump out a window.
My feet touch the cold floor and I flinch. Just then, a doctor and a nurse run in.. with Leah!
"L-Leah!," I say and try to walk towards her only to fall.
The nurse quickly helped me back to the bed.
I feel pressure on me as Leah clings onto me. I feel her start to cry. I feel tears run down my face too.
"It's a miracle.. you had little chance of waking up," the doctor says astonished.
"I-i wanted to see Leah again.. I couldn't just leave Leah and my family," I say.
