It took them two days to get a verdict, but they eventually all agreed to go. The only one who really disagreed was Nico, who was the last one to agree.

“Nico, it's 10-1. Stop being so stubborn and just say yes!”

“Hazel, I'm not changing my answer.”

“I don't see why we have to have a unanimous vote.” Leo sighed, leaning back in his chair. “Honestly, why don't we just go ahead, and he can join up later if he wants?”

“Because we don't have to do anything.” Jason said. “And we do things as a team. So either Nico is in, or we're all out.”

“But he's not going to change his mind!” Percy shouted! “No offense, but we have to do something soon! It's the second day we've been arguing about this, and I think it's time we actually do something.”

“I'm with Percy.” Ron said. It had taken him the whole first day, but he had finally learned all of their names. “I'm getting tired of sitting and arguing. I'd rather be in potions with Snape right now, to be honest.”

“Look,” Jason said, standing up, “I know we all want to do something about this. But we nhjhave to respect other people's decisions!”

“We can respect it!” Leo said, standing up as well. “We respect it by not forcing him to go, and we just leave! I can drop him off wherever he wants, and then we're on our way!”

“He has a point.” Nico said. “I'm not going to change my answer, so you might as well just leave me.”

“We're not leaving you, Nico. We're a team, and we don't exclude anybody.” Jason looked at Leo. “Right, Leo?”

“Yea, yea, fine.” he sat down and sighed. “Look, I didn't want to, but I can't help it if he's being stubborn. If we were being traditional, we wouldn't be rebelling against our parents as much as we do. Heck, our leader wouldn't even be here. He'd be up in Olympus sparring with them losers.”

“He has a point.” Annabeth said, looking at Percy. “We really aren't that traditional in the first place.  I mean, look at us now: Greek and Roman demigods working together. That's the most non-traditional thing we could really do, isn't it?”

“No. Going across the river and seeing the Egyptians is.”

“Nico, we've all already made the decision.”

“I know you've made a decision. But given its a stupid decision, I've decided to ignore it.”

“Oh, come on, Nico!” Hazel looked at him, pleading him with her eyes. “Why won't you say yes? What's so bad about breaking tradition?”

Before Nico could answer, alarms started to blare. “We have company!” Leo shouted, running up to the top deck. Everyone followed him, expecting a fight. “I installed a new system that can sense magic and power. Basically, if its a threat, we know about it.”

They all reached the top and ran to the side to find...

“A couple?” Ron almost laughed, but Hermione gave him a look. He cleared his throat. “Yea, definitely a threat. They probably have wine bottle corks they can shoot at us.”

“Leo, is this thing reliable?” Piper asked, eyeing the two strangers. They were in a rowboat, laughing together.

“Well, it's new, so it may have a few glitches.” Leo lied. “It's probably just detecting the metals on the boat.” he knew that wasn't true. He had built it himself, tested it dozens of times; it worked perfectly. So why were the readings off the charts?

“We put a cloaking spell on the ship.” Harry said, nodding at Ron and Hermione. “We thought it would be best if this thing was hidden from people. They might freak out.”
