“Chipper, hurry up!” a voice shouted behind Harry, and he turned to find a boy of about 16 tapping his foot impatiently. A girl walked over, holding a large bottle of...iced tea?

“Sorry, but I can’t wander around thirst. I’ve gotta stay hydrated.”

“Well, make it faster than five minutes next time.”

“Says the man who waited for an hour for a fancy hat.”

“It’s called a stetson, and do you know how expensive they are?! I’d gladly wait an hour for one that’s only 30 bucks.”

“Whatever, Al.” she said, rolling her eyes.

Siblings,Harry thought to himself, smiling as he watched them walk away. The kid named Al slipped his hand into hers. Okay, maybe not…

“Harry, come on!” he turned back to find Hazel and Nico waiting for him. “Come on, we don’t have all day!”

“Coming.” he said, walking back to the group. “Was a bit distracted, that’s all. So, where do we look first?”

“Good question.” Hazel reached into her pocket and pulled out a golden coin.

“Is that a galleon?” Harry asked, looking closely. “I thought only wizard’s used those.”

“I have no idea what that is, but this is a drachma. I’m sending an IM to Annabeth and Mrs. Weasley.”

“Call her Hermione.” Harry said, smirking as she took out a bottle of water. “She prefers it. What are you doing?”

“You can use magic, right?”

“Yea...why?”

“Can you make a mist out of the water I pour out?” she asked, uncapping it.

“Easy.” he pulled out his wand, and muttered a spell as she poured the water out. It formed into a thick mist, and hung in the air as Hazel put the bottle away and held the drachma.

“Lady Iris, please accept my offering.” she tossed the drachma into the mist, but it didn’t fall through. it simply vanished. “East River, Annabeth Chase.” they waited in silence as people passed by, not giving them a second glance. Finally, Annabeth’s face appeared.

“What’s up guys?”

“Do you see anywhere that might be suitable for the Egyptians?” Hazel asked.

“Well, there is a column of smoke rising from the empty warehouse. But I suppose that’s nothing.” she smirked, shaking her head. “Honestly, is it that hard to see?”

Harry looked up, seeing where the smoke was. “Got it. Do Jason and Piper have cell phones we can contact them with?”

Annabeth shook her head. “Demigods can’t use cell phones. They alert nearby monsters within a hundred miles where we are. It’s ridiculous.”

“Are they by a pay phone?” he asked, reaching into his pocket.

“Um, I can’t really see them…” she trailed off, leaning over to Hermione. After a moment, her face reappeared. “Hermione used some kind of detection charm or whatever. They’re at a cafe about a mile away from you guys.” her smirk returned. “Doubt they’re scanning the perimeter.”

“Did she say which shop?”

Annabeth disappeared again, returning seconds later. “She said it’s a Starbucks on Front Street that’s across the road from a parking lot, about 4 miles from where we docked. Where are you guys right now?”
