Chapter 12

Cody's POV:

During the movie credits, I look around to see who all is awake. All the girls and Campbell are asleep. "Hey Jake?" I whisper, trying not to wake up everyone. "Yeah Mate?" "Do you want to put in another movie to try and sleep, or just the silence?" I lean to look at him. "I don't want to wake up Gigi, so let's just go to sleep." I roll my eyes and then rest my head on top of Jessica's.

-In the morning-

I wake up to all the girls, except Jessica, gone and the rest of the guys are asleep. Jessica looks up at me. "Yay. You're awake." She smiles an I return one. "Where did the girls go?" I move the strand of hair away from her face. "I don't know. They weren't here when I woke up. I tried texting and calling Alli but she won't answer."

"That's weird. She normally never misses a call from anyone. How many times did you call?" I start to get worried. "Two or three times. Has she been ok lately?" I get up to find my phone and try to call her. She doesn't answer. "She didn't answer me either. I hope he's ok. She'll probably be back in a few minutes." I sit back down and turn on another movie.

-around 11:30 at night-

Jessica's POV:

I am sitting in one of the kitchen chairs while Cody is pacing back and fourth. "Where is she? She has been gone for who knows how long. She's going to be in so much trouble when she walks through that door. She hasn't even been answering mum's or dad's calls." Cody keeps getting more worried. I know how much he cares for Alli.

"Ok. Calm down Cody." He stops and looks at me. "Calm down? Calm down?" He starts to raise his voice a little bit, "My little sister has been gone all day, not answering calls or texts, and you tell me to ca-" he stops when the door opens and Alli walks through like nothing happened.

"Where have you been all day?" Cody asks her sternly. "I was out ok. I'm home now." She starts to walk upstairs. "Don't just walk away! I didn't know where you were or who you were with! Mum and Dad were going to call the cops if you hadn't shown up in an hour! You could have called or texted us back and said 'Hey! I'm alive and not dead in a ditch in the middle of nowhere!'" Cody is getting really mad. "Well sorry. Stop acting like you're my dad and leave me alone." I start to get up. "Maybe I should just go." I say. "No." He turns to me quickly then turns back to Alli.

"You go to your room and stay there! I'm coming in at random times to make sure you're still in there!" He yells at her as she walks into her room and shuts the door.

Cody's POV:

"I'm sorry you had to see that." I say to Jessica as I hug her. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." She hugs me back tightly. "I really do have to go. We have school tomorrow and I need some sleep. Goodnight." "Goodnight. Wait! Are you sure your dad won't be home?" I ask just to check on her. "Yeah. But if he is, he will be asleep." "Alright. Night." She smiles and walks out.

I quickly, but quietly, go to Alli's room to make sure she's still there. When I open the door, I see her sitting with Madeline laughing. "What are you doing here? How'd you get in here?" I give Alli a disappointed look the state at Madeline with a anger. "I'm here to talk with my friend. And there's a thing called a window." She laughs again. I clench my jaw and through my teeth say, "Get out. Now." Madeline looks at me then Alli. "Fine. See you tomorrow Al." And she gets up and hops out the window onto our roof, then our parents car, then the driveway and walks across the street through our neighbors yards. "I don't want you talking with her. Ever again. Understand?" Alli rolls her eyes. "Whatever." I look at her. "Alli, if you keep hanging out with her, you could get hurt. I don't want to see you get hurt. Please promise me you will stay away from her." I beg her. "Fine," she says and the Alli I know returns, "I'll stay away. I promise."

I hug her tightly. "I'm sorry for yelling at you Alli. I love you. That's why I did it." She laughs a little. "I know. I love you too." We release the hug and I exit her room to go to my room. Today was exhausting.
