Chapter 8

Cody's POV:

I woke up in the same position that I fell asleep in, with Jessica in my arms. The only thing different is that there is a blanket. Alli must have seen us last night and did that. I look at the clock to see it's 5:30 am, so I lay my head on Jessica's and drier back to sleep.

Jessica's POV:

My eyes burst open. Cody an I jump awake and I scream because Tom blew an air horn in our faces. "TOM!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Cody asks still yelling. "You guys were still sleeping. Mum wanted you to be down stairs for breakfast and told me to wake you up." Tom smirks. "That doesn't mean you have to blow an airborne in our faces!" Cody proclaims. "Yes it does. Now come on!"

Cody and I walk out of the media room and go down the stairs to the kitchen. "Good morning sleepy heads. Breakfast this morning is pancakes and sausage. Help yourselves." Angie tells us. "Thanks Mum." Cody says. "Thank you." I reply with a smile.

"Hey! Are you guys ready for the carnival today?" Alli asks. "That's today?" Cody replies. Alli and I chuckle. "Yes it's today! Even I remembered." I tell him. "Then let me go change." Cody says as he gets off the couch and heads upstairs. "Will you come to my house with me and help me pick an outfit to wear?" I ask Alli. "Sure! Let's go now." She replies and we go out the door and over to my house.

"I like this shirt." I tell Alli from my closet and throw it at my bed where she was sitting. "It's cute but not you. Here. Let me look." She says getting off the bed and coming into the closet. "This shirt with.....these pants and....those shoes." Alli picked up all the clothing items she had chosen and set them nicely on my bed. "Woah! I would have never thought if this outfit! It's.....perfect!" I say to her. "Thanks," she smiles "I try my hardest."

Cody's POV:

Mum honks the horn of the car as we are sitting in Jessica's driveway. "What are they doing up there? We have to pick up more people and if they take any longer we are going to be late!" Mum complains. "Mum. They are right there. Chill."

When we arrive at the fair with everyone Alli hands out our tickets to get in. "Ok. Since we came as a group, when you get to the entrance, the ticket holder will give you a ticket book that has 75 tickets per book. Use those tickets however you'd like. Have fun!" Saying that, Jessica and I walk up to the ticket holder and get our tickets.

We have been here for three hours an we still have half our tickets left. "Oh! Cody look!" Jessica says pointing to a giant teddy bear at the skee-ball game booth. "Can you hand me four tickets?" I ask her as we continue walking up to the game. She gives me the tickets and I start to play. "Yay! 550 points! Only 59 more Cody! You can do it!" Jessica cheers me on. I roll the last ball up the alley and it goes in the 100 points hole. "What prize do you want?" The booth owner asks. "Can I have that big bear?" The owner gets a pole to bring down the bear and hands it to me. "Here. For you." I hand over the bear to Jessica and she smiles really big. "Thank Cody." She says and gives me a little kiss on the cheek.

Jessica's POV:

"Want to go on the 'Lovers Boat Ride'" Cody asks me. We only have four tickets left and we are getting ready to leave the fair after being here all day. "Sure." I answer with a smile. We get to the ticket taker and give her the tickets to ride. Cody sits on the left, I sit in the middle, and the teddy bear sits on the right.

The ride is slow and my head is on Cody's shoulder. "Jessica?" He asks. "Yeah?" I answer. He puts his fingers on my chin and lifts up my head. We are looking into each others eyes and he smiles and then puts his lips on mine. They are so soft and I LOVE THEM! A flash goes off and I remove my lips from his. "What was that?" I ask him. "The picture." He smirks. "Jessica? Will you be my girlfriend?" I look at him and he blushes. "I would love to be." I smile really big. He kisses me on the forehead right before the ride ends.

We go to the picture booth to look at the picture that we just took. It looks amazing. I can't believe my first kiss was captured on camera. I live this. Cody grabs my hand and intertwines his fingers with mine. "Can we have two copies of picture number 4?" Cody asks the photo booth man. "Sure thing." He says and prints out two and hands them to Cody in a fancy envelope.

When we return to Cody's house he walks me across the yard to mine and he hands me the picture before kissing me one more time. "I had an amazing time today Cody. Thank you." "No thank you." We smile. I unlock the door and walk in. I run upstairs and frame the picture in one of my old picture frames and hang it on the wall. I change into my pj's and right as I am about to lie down, someone knocks on my balcony window. I open the double doors to see Codys face. "I forgot to say good night. Good night beautiful." I giggle. "Good night Cody." He smiles and turns around and climbs off of my balcony onto his. Whoever designed this layout would e crazy of my boyfriend didn't live next door in the exact room that is by mine. He turns back around to face me again and smiles one more time before we both shut our doors.
