Chapter 6

Cody's POV:        

I walk outside to the bus loop with Jessica since it's the end of school. "What bus do you ride?" I ask her. "Um." She looks at her schedule to see the bus number at the bottom the the lunch times. "143. What about you?" "Same. You know what '143' means right?" I can't help but smirk a little when I say that. "It means 'I love you'. Do you think I have been living under a rock?" We both laugh.      "Here's the bus," I say as we walk towards it. "ladies first." She looks at me with those gorgeous eyes an gives me a beautiful smile, which makes me smile. Gosh! She is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on.      

----------At bus stop-----------  

Jessica's POV:      

  I look out the window, watching for the somewhat familiar neighborhood that I live in now. When I see my house, I turn to Cody.  "This is my stop." I say with a smile. It's kinda a fake one though. I don't want to get off this bus because that would mean leaving Cody. "Really? This is my stop to. We're you the girl that was unpacking all those boxes out of your trunk the other day?" He asks me as we step off the bus. "Yeah that was me."       

"Why were you doing that all by yourself? Didn't you dad help you at all?" He is so sweet. Ah! "No, my dad didn't help. He was uh..tired from driving for so long that I told him I would do it." That's the best excuse you could come up with? YOU'RE SO STUPID! "Really? I don't believe you. What's the real reason you took in all those boxes by yourself?" I start to walk slower. We are almost to my house and I don't want to leave Cody because I have no clue when Dad will be back and I just don't want to get hit again. "I can't tell you. But here's my house. I will uh..text you. Bye Cody." I say waving and running to my house trying to avoid this conversation.       

"Bye. Oh! See you on Saturday for the carnival! I'll be at your house at 10:30!" He yells to me. "See ya then!" I yell back. OMG! Saturday! That's in two days! I need to plan my outfit an everything. Good thing we only have four-day school weeks at my school. I got all day tomorrow to unpack all my clothes and the pick out the cutest outfit! Yay! I can't wait!!       

---------At Cody's house---------  

Cody's POV:        

    "HEY MOM! IM HOME!" I scream and hear it ring all through the house. "Don't yell Cody!" and "Inside  voice!" Is what I hear at the same time from my mum and sister. "Whatever. Hey Als! Guess what." I say as I sit down at the high chairs at the counter. "Did you get an A+ on a paper today? Wait! I can answer that. NO!" She laughs. "That's not it! But I actually did! But I need another ticket for the carnival." "Why?" She gives me a weird look while the is storing what looks like brownie mix in a bowl. "Because. There's this girl at school and I want to bring her." Mom walks up behind me. "Told you." She laughs. "What's her name?" "Jessica. She just moved here." "Is she the new neighbors next door?" Alli asks me. "Yeah. Why?" He's who I'm making these brownies for. When they're ready, wanna take them over to her with me?" She asks me without looking up from what she's doing. "Yeah. Sure." I walk upstairs to my room and jump onto my bed. I pull out my phone to text Jessica.

  To Jessica!!!:D : Hey;)

From Jessica!!!:D : Hey:D

To Jessica!!!:D : Do you like brownies?

From Jessica!!!:D : Yes! Love them!! Why?

To Jessica!!!:D : No reason;) x

From Jessica!!!:D : Seriously...        

     "CODY! LETS GO!" I hear Alli yell up the stairs. "COMING!" I yell back.  

To Jessica!!!:D : Really;) Gtg. See ya later x From

Jessica!!!:D : Bye!:) x

       Alli and I walk up to Jessica's house and I ring the doorbell. I hear the door knob move and then the door opens and reveals the beautiful face of Jessica. "Hey Cody!" She says with a gorgeus smile. I smile back. "Hi. I'm Alli. Cody's sister. I made you some brownies as a 'Welcome to the Neighborhoob' gift." Alli told her. "Hi Alli. Thank you so much. Will you be going to the carnival?" Jessica says to Alli. "Yeah, Shes the sister i told you about. My only one. The one I pointed out at lunch. She organized the whole carnival trip." I explain. "Oh cool. See ya then, Thanks again for the brownies. I'll bring the dish over when they're gone and when it's cleaned."Oh you don't have to clean it." They laugh at each other.

     "Hey Jessica. Would you like to come over for dinner at our house tonight?" I ask her. She smiles again. Her smile is so beautiful. She is so gorgeous. "Yeah. I'd love to." She smiles even bigger. "Great." Alli says. "See you later." Alli says then walks off, back toward our house. "Dinner will be ready around 7:30. You can come anytime around that. Can't wait for dinner." I say then wink. "I'll text you when I get back home. Bye." "Bye Cody. See you!"    

 Dinner can NOT come fast enough.
