Chapter 16

Jessica's POV:

I walk out to the balcony after my dad leaves with Mario or whatever his name is. "Cody? Are you still out here?" I sniffle. "Yeah. What did your dad want? He didn't hurt you did he?" I lead cody inside and start bawling again. "He wants me to leave with some stranger in two days! I don't know this man! I don't know if he's a murderer! I don't even know where he will take me!"

Cody hugs me tightly. "I won't let him take you, Angel! I'll protect you." We sit on my bed for half an hour hugging. Cody is calming me down by giving me kisses on the forehead once in a while and not letting me go. "My dad says I need to start packing. I guess that means everything." I look at Cody with eyes saying he doesn't know what to do. We hear footsteps again. "Leave. He's coming!"

I push Cody out the door again. I quickly shut the balcony door and jump under my covers pretending to sleep. My dad storms in. "What the he'll are you doing sleeping! I told you to pack!" He's really angry. I sit up. "I'm sorry. I-I didn't think you meant right now. It's past midnight." He gets in my face. "When I say do something, you do it right then!" He slaps me in the face twice then pulls his fist back to punch me. That's the last thing I saw before I blacked out.

I woke up. My vision blurry. I didn't know where I was. All I knew was that I was moving. Was I in a car? No. It's too big to be a car. In in the back of a van. All the windows are blacked out and there is bars separating the back from the front row seats. I try to find something to tell me where I am. I feel all around me.

I feel my pockets. My phone! My phone is still in my pocket! I pull it out. I have a ton of signal! The best signal have ever had! Omg! I dial 000.

A woman answers. "Hello. Please state your emergency." I whisper so I make sure that the driver doesn't hear me. "Please help! I'm stuck in the back of someone's van! I don't know where I am." "Calm down, ma'am. Did you see the person that put you in the van?" "No. I was knocked out. Someone punched me. I have no clue how long I have been asleep." "Ok. I have alerted officials. They are on their way to help you. Do you know who punched you?"

The van stopped. The driver opened the door and slammed it shut. "The driver just got out of the van." I start to panic. The back doors of the van become unlocked and I hide the phone. When the door opens I see.......
