"Hi guys, our main vampire is in my house as hostage right now feel free to come around in the morning I'll open the curtains and we can watch him burn." Dad laughed hysterically trying to be quiet. I heard him, I was standing at the top of the stairs out of sight.

I went straight into my room to tell Drake what was going on. "Dad's bringing people over in the morning, to watch you burn. This will be funny when it doesn't work." I snickered wrapping my arms around his waist.

He chuckled with me, "Don't worry I can and will make sure none of them get out if they get in. The war location is unfortunately at your house... I hope you're okay with that?" He raised his eyebrow at me.

"As long as it's outside and doesn't mess up my carpet, we're sweet." I laughed.

"Now you're not going to turn on me last minute are you love?" He asked making sure almost.

I didn't say anything I just stood on my tip toes and kissed him like he was mine. "Glad to know." He smiled kissing me a second time.

"I wouldn't turn on you Drake. We are in this together." I smiled.

"I have to go out. I'll be back soon." He kissed my forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too." I said as he was walking out of my bedroom door. He turned and smiled at me and turned to walk down the stairs.

DRAKE

I had to let the others know where the war was, they knew Ruby was mine, so they couldn't touch her, anybody else involved though was free for their entertainment you might as well say. I brushed through the bushes staying sleek in the black night and through to the town I once called home, I'm beyond that community bullshit I live alone for a reason.

I walked straight up to the garden, "Listen up! There's been a change of location. It's not commencing inside the girl's house. Her father is a piece of work, and secretly had a conversation about causing drama tomorrow morning. Outside her house instead by four-thirty in the morning we will be there in time, for the arrival. Some of you may be dusted, but it's a risk we have to take.

We need to get these slayers out of the way, because we have bigger and darker things we have to worry about, this bigger thing is not only a threat to Ruby and other humans, it's a threat to Vampire's too, we need to make the most of it, we can win this, is everybody clear?

Mumbles and head nods filled the garden. "Right I'll see you back at the house at four-thirty, do be bloody late." I snarled, wooshed my coat back around and walked away.

"Do we get the girl Drake?" One called out as I pasted the first bush.

"No the girl is off boundaries, she's mine. You or anyone else touches her, you'll be facing me. Is that clear?" I smirked walking away back to Ruby's house.

I got up to the front door and had to pretend I didn't know the plan, Ruby was asleep, so I sat down on the sofa and turned on the TV, and watched nothing but sodding crap on TV all night long. It got to four-thirty in the morning and the sun was starting to rise. I could see the curtains changing. I could hear foot steps and bushed being ruffled outside. Good plans commencing nicely. I lay down away from the light as if I was sleeping.

Ruby woke up a couple of hours later and came down and made herself breakfast, playing the game too, acting like she had no idea what was going to happen. Her father came down about seven and said good morning to her.

"Go to hell." She snapped sipping her tea.

"It's a bit dark in here how about we open the doors and windows for some fresh air, I hate this DARK house we live in." He said proudly walking over to the window.

"DAD NOOO!" She screamed. Her father opened the curtains and went to the door and opened the door, all she could see was people surrounding the roads and our driveway. Good my men have hid well.

I yawned and sat up stretching and saw Ruby standing there looking at me. "Good morning love." I smiled walking over to her putting my arms around her waist and giving her a quick kiss on the lips.

Ruby's father was staring at me horrified as to why I hadn't burnt to a crisp yet. Funny for him he had no idea that I had a soul... and soulfilled Vampire's didn't burn in the sun, they could be the same as a human and fit into the human crowd.

Horrified he turned to the front door to say something to his men and was on the verge of passing out when he saw each and every one of his men were gone, literally vanished from the spots they were standing in just a few moments ago. Not realising there were Vampire's in the darkness of the bushes and they had done exactly what I had planned with them to do, which was to pull them into the depths of the bushes stay hidden stay away from the sun and dispose of them, a nice early night feast as it were. They were then able to return home once it got dark, they made the sacrafice of no sleep today to kill of a few cocky civilians who thought they could get the better of us off guard, Especially me.

"What did you do to them?" He said glaring at me like he was going to kill me.

"Do you really think I'd let you do anything to me, for someone who's a vampire slayer you sure are a bloody idiot." I said mocking his intelligence.

"You don't burn in sunlight what the fuck are you? A demon?" He said with hatred and murder in his eyes.
"Wait a minute.... you have a soul. Of course you do." He said realising suddenly.

I applaud him as I started walking up to him. "Bloody hell that took you long enough, you at least know something about Vampire's. Though not enough to stop yourself from getting killed. You are a bloody disgrace to this world and to your daughter, you're better off as a late snack." I growled and changed my form and lunged towards him pinning him to the floor.

"This death that you are about to experience, is something I've been wanting to do for a LONG time, Ruby hates you, so the least I can do is remove you from her life." I snarled in his face before I launched my teeth into his neck.

"But you have a soul! You can't bite, it hurts you! He wailed in pain.

"That's a chip you bloody fool." I said as he interupted me with his stupidity. I lunged down again and sucked the life out of him until he was completely dry. I let go of his lifeless body and threw it outside onto the driveway.

I wiped my mouth and turned to Ruby, but she was gone.
