Once we finally got into bed I had a feeling both of us would get some good rest tonight. Considering the fact that we are together in a new environment and we've had such a great day, it should be nothing like the past few nights.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Great, I'm starting to feel a little better actually."

"How so?"

"Well it's kind of hard to describe, there are times throughout the day especially today when I'm like completely fine, then there are other times when I feel so paranoid and haunted."

"Have you thought about seeing someone, maybe like a counseling therapist or something to help you get through this?"

"You know I can't do that. There are too many things I wouldn't be able to explain. Seriously what am I gonna tell them, that I have magic dream powers and now there haunting me?"

"Don't be so sarcastic Lucy. Let's just try not to think about it and get some good rest."

When I woke up the next morning I was so glad to see Lucy still asleep. That's somewhat of a good sign at least her physical body is getting some rest if nothing else. As I raise up and stretch my body Lucy begins to slowly open her eyes.

"Good morning, how was it?" I ask anxiously.

"Good morning to you too, and um actually tonight was quite different,"

"How exactly"?

"Well I'm still seeing her in my dreams, she'll pop up now and then but I keep asking her to leave. I'm still trying to demolish her and I feel that I'm getting closer."

"That's good I suppose, why is it that you won't let me try and help you?"

"I just feel like I should do this on my own, I created this mess now I have to clean it up and deal with the consequences. Plus if you start entering my dreams more often while she's there I'm afraid there's a possibility that she could begin projecting control over your dreams haunting them and I can not let that happen to you."

"She can't be more powerful than the both of us, especially since you created her."

"I won't risk it."

I knew that was final, I can see it in her eyes, however, I still won't give up trying to help. I know there's something that can be done I've just got to figure it out.

Since we're going to have to head back in town tonight, Lucy and I have decided to spend as much time as possible by the shore. There's going to be a lot of activities going on within one section. There will be music, food, volleyball, and lot's of fun games for younger kids as well. We also decided to drive, it was very short. The blocks here are really short for such a little-populated town, this is probably on purpose to help visitors find their way around.

"Wow, for it being so early in the day there sure is lot's of people here already," Lucy notices as I pull into the enclosed parking lot area for this section of the shore.

"It's always like this really," I replied remembering from my last trip here.

As we get out and chose our little spot to set up, I catch Lucy gazing of onto the shore taking a large inhale and exhale. I can tell she is so relaxed.

"This is the most relaxed I've seen you in quite some time," I acknowledged.

"I just feel so relieved looking onto that water, feeling this breeze, and not being able to see anything past the deep blue horizon. How can a world so beautiful, be so vile?"

I almost can't help but think that as well. "Let's just focus on the beauty while we can," I said to Lucy looking her way with a smile.

That's exactly what we did all day. As we looked around us we saw nothing but beauty. Beauty in the people, the children, the activities that were set up, in the waves crashing onto the shore, and of course beauty in the music. We even got to play volleyball with another group of girls there. We made a decision to pack up and head out at about four so that we could get back to our hometown by midnight. The drive is kind of long and dark for the last of it. We also got to watch the sun go down together. I glance over at Lucy as I make my exit off the highway and surprisingly, she is asleep. However, her facial expression could be more peaceful. I pull into the nearest gas station and move her by the shoulder.

"Wake up Lucy we're almost home," I say in a slightly loud yet sweet tone.

Her eyes shot open almost in a scare. "Oh, thank you," she replied clearing her throat.

"So, my house or yours tonight?"

She looked down for a moment, "Mine."

After I got my gas I headed towards her house.

"Thanks once again, I had an amazing time with you," Lucy said wrapping her arms around me to hug me goodbye.

When I got home the first thing I did was take a shower. Now that I'm laying in my bed staring at the ceiling I feel restless but I want to sleep either, maybe it was all the driving. There's also a lot going through my mind between worrying about Lucy and prom being tomorrow after school. I know we have everything we need but for some reason, I feel so unprepared. Eventually, I got lost in my thoughts, slowly drifting off to sleep.
